  1. Yes, you should, even the filtered water is not as safe as boil water which easily to get water mole on the wall of your contain if you don't clean it.  I do clean my container even the water boiled but not each time ... once two day.

The purified water merely purify unwanted mineral and dirt from water, but none guarentee you it will get rid of any bacteria if you rarely change the filter.

  2. Yes you should wash it in between fillings. The reason is that you have bacteria on your hands and you transfer that to your container. And if you never wash your container, they in just sit in there and multiply. Also every time you open it a few micros get in. With out washing they to build up. Plus the filter gets most things out of the water, not all, so again, things can build up.

So unless you use hand sanitizer every time you fill you water, and unless you live in a sterile environment, it would be a good idea to clean you water jug.

  3. Bacteria grows in water.  The fact that it is sitting in a fridge doesn't stop bacteria from growing and it doesn't matter that it is filtered water and 48 hours is plenty of time.

The container needs, at the very least, a good rinsing with each refill.

I recommend adding a splash of white vinegar to your rinse water as it is a disinfectant and food safe.
