  1. no, you shouldn't charge a fee, just make sure they all get a good home with families that will love them and not abuse them

  2. Say you will charge a fee to weed out people looking for kittens for bad reasons, like training bait for fighting dogs.  Meet the people first and if they seems nice, don't take the money.

  3. I would charge them something, if no more than $5.00 and a bag of cat food, if you have other cats.  Or, just a small bag of cat food that you use.  It is the best way to assure that they go to good homes, to people that really understand what they are getting into, and are wanting them for the right reasons.

I adopted out several kittens like that years ago and the ones that were serious and really seemed like good pet owners didn't mind a bit.  The ones that were probably fly by night, and impulse owners hung up on me. (LOL!) And that was fine by me.

  4. yes, I think it's important that you charge a fee when adopting out the kittens.  I think if you give them away for free you are implying they have no value.  As well, there are many people take cats for free to use for medical testing.

If you are uncomfortable taking money from someone then I suggest you collect money and donate it to a local rescue group where the resources are needed to help provide medical care to injured and homeless cats.

  5. ignore...

more people will  go if it's free

    good luck!

  6. Are they all spayed/neutered? Are their vaccinations up to date? Are they going with food/cat carrier/toys fave blanket? If you can answer yes to all of those questions then you can try and charge a fee but you won't rehome them as fast

  7. Yes and no, its a hard decision. It is easier to find home when they are free. BUTTTT, someone who won't pay for a cat could be using them for something bad.

What I would do is post them free but say that you need to visit the home before the adopting takes place. That way you can see where they are going.
