Do you think i should do the Japanese perm?

some of my friends say yes and the other no have really curly hair

Ultimately the choice is yours however DO YOUR RESEARCH!! Call or visit several reputable salons and ask questions. Check the internet. GOOGLE it! Be informed. There is ALWAYS going to be very curly hair growing in at your roots, depending on the expense (400USD) how often are you going to have to get this done to maintain the silky-straight. Will you be stuck with curly roots and straight limp hair until a certain amount of time passes between processess? Once you do this your hair WILL NOT CURL. It claims to be safe for your hair (but something always comes out in the news years later). See if you can find alternatives to such a drastic and expensive process OR learn to love your curly halo. If i understand this right if you have curly hair i would suggest you do the perm because they have a thing that will let your hair stay straight for atleast 5 months(depending if you get the type of perm) they call it a Japanese Straightner (you cant buy this at a store).
