  1. My nephew was bullied in Kindergarten; I've known and heard of high school kids getting bullied. Your grade has nothing to do with whether you'd get bullied or not.

Most kids are not bullied, although most (all?) schools have at least one bully that kids are aware of. You might not get bullied, but you might have to witness and worry about it.

As for whether or not you should... We don't know you. We don't know what your family is like. We don't know what your homeschooling is like. We don't know why you are even contemplating going to school.

If you are enjoying homeschooling somewhat, I would say stay homeschooling. There's no point to "change schools", so to speak, just because the possibility is there. You need to have a good reason to switch.

  2. There is no way for your question to be answered without knowing surrounding details.

  3. It sounds like you may not be satisfied with your current situation.  However, I would think your options would be wider in homeschool, than in public school.  It really depends on what your needs are, and what your parents want.  If your parents aren't sure either, or are leaving it up to you, then, try to ask some more specific questions about how you can fulfill your specific needs or concerns.

If you are wondering when you should be going back to public school, then, the answer is, that there is not a specific grade.  For homeschool you will need a parent and child who are both committed to it.  If you aren't both committed to doing it and researching the best program within your budget, then you may be better off going to a more structured program.

If you are doing well in homeschool, you should be able to get into college without too much trouble especially if you do well on the ACT/SAT tests.  As soon as you know what college you want to attend, you should look at admission requirements and make sure you are doing what you need to do.  If you are interested in something that doesn't require college, still stay committed to do your best and to get a good education.

  4. More importantly - do your parents think you should be homeschooled next year? That is the deciding factor here, not what we think.

5th graders do get bullied too. There is no age limit on that.

  5. As long as you are doing well in homeschool stay there.

Math is the hardest part and you should be doing decimals, fraction math and soon get into pre-algebra

  6. According to your writing skills for a fifth grader you need alot of help.  Talk with your parents and study instead of being on the computer.

  7. Well the main reason people get homeschooling is when there finding it hard at school and or get bullied,

If your fine at school then dont bother.

  8. if you are doing well in home school and prefer home school to public school, stick with it.

  9. Yes,stay at home. You will be smarter and healthier than every one else. And you get to spend more quality time with your family.Take advantage of this because time flys and before you know it,you'll be a parent  too. Here are some great books for you to read as well.Get all the Mitch Albom books.

  10. home school is awesome- but it is really up to you and your parents,  ONLY YOU know whats best for you.

  11. yes it is so much easier, and less stressful

  12. I think you should go to public school next year.  You aren't doing yourself any good by hiding at home because you're afraid you "might get bullied"....  You also might NOT get bullied and may have the time of your life... but, you'll never know that if you don't try.  Also, the teachers will be sensitive of your fear and will help you greatly.

  13. Not knowing your situation at all, I cannot recommend one way or another.

I can tell you that my daughter, who is near your age, loves homeschool and is learning while enjoying being a part of the real world, instead of locked away in a classroom for 8hrs.

Try making a pro and con list and going over it with your folks. It may be homeschool does not appeal to you, but that may also mean you need to change the way you homeschool.

    Either way, best of luck!
