i am 17 and going to cancun for spring break. i want to drink but i am worried that it is going to be hard. i have friends that can get it for me but i am afraid that our hotel will be g*y about it. also i dont know how the night clubs are on the situation

What is going to be difficult is you at 17 even being allowed in to Mexico as child.  You can travel with your parents but you will need notarized permission from your parents and as a child you will need a valid passport.

If you are in fact coming with your parent and they approve(not likely) then underage drinking is not strictly enforced.

All the above does not apply to 18 plus.Gringo

The simple truth is, nightclubs, especially the larger ones such as Coco Bongo and Dady O do check ID. The smaller outdoor bars tend to be more lenient.

It all just depends where you're staying at or go to? When I went my first time when I was 16, I was able to get it at the resort I stayed at simply because I kept my 'Minor colored braclet' beneath the counter..and they just never looked and assumed I was 18.. other times, they'd think I looked young I guess b/c they would make it 'virgin'...the second resort I stayed at.. I never once got it on my own, someone else did for me.. This time of course.. I can legally get it myself.. so really It all just depends.. It's possible yes.

If you are staying at an all-inclusive you will be asked for your ID and the wrist band you are given will signify that you are a minor.

The night clubs are supposed to ask for ID at the door...

i just got a fake id .. that is all u need to get .. i could enter the booze cruise . coco bongo , senor frogs and drink in all of them .. just get a good one .. soo chill and dont worry
