  1. Yea of course therre should be extra time. what if one team has been playing good throughout the game and then the other team just fires back in the last quarter?

  2. Leave draw formula as it is. Sure there was a draw each of the past two weeks. There probably will not be another for the rest of the season.

  3. no

    i like a draw

  4. Rugby League in Australia bought in the Golden Point system to break a draw in year 2003. Love it or hate it.

It will probably be better for all to have this system or a modification of it for the AFL. At least it will keep the status quo of only one team going home disappointed after a game.

Alleviate any replays of finals where venue bookings are maximised for  other uses after finals have been completed

  5. I am happy with the good old Draw every noun again but get disapointed when your team works so hard and then draws the game... but at the end of the day they come a draw both teama have scored the same score after time is up.. thats the way it should stay... not a have time on until a lucky goal is scored!!!

  6. yeah it makes a world of difference, it sucked last night with the nrl as there was a drawn game and they didn't hav golden point where the normal games do, so it felt that the game didn't finish!

  7. nope, its not soccer or rugby..

a draw is a draw and they get 2 points each - thats our game and it should stay as it is!

  8. N o. No extra time.

Two points for a draw may eventually get a team into the finals.

  9. yeah im for extra time .... must be a winner i think

  10. i think that during the season there should not be extra time.

    in finals there should be.

grand final there should be extra time instead of coming back the next week. that is a stupid rule that the afl need to fix.

  11. No.

No other teams do - unless a final of some sort.

Do you suggest they also re-run the Melbourne Cup if there is a dead-heat between two horses?

  12. Nah i think they should keep the Draw, i dont know why they have to change it now

  13. No

  14. Only if it is a final game otherwise just leave the draws as they stand.

  15. i am a real traditionalist but as far as this goes i would say yes, keep it all the same, through the season, finals etc, at the moment it is all over the place, extra time in the finals etc.

    get a result i say.

  16. I am a fan of the good old draw when it occasionally happens.

    However, I do believe that Jason Akermanis (even though I don't like him) had some great points about this on the Footy Show this week. He made the point that we actually have three different rules regarding level scores at the end of the match. They are;

premiership season - leave it as it is

    finals - play time on

grandfinal - come back and replay the match the following wk.

On those grounds, I really do believe that it's time we introduce a rule that is consistant over all three.

Some think a goal for goal play off after the siren is a good thing. I think in the very least a few ideas need to be addressed so that we can come up with something that is to the satisfaction of the players and the spectators.

  17. Let a draw stand during the season propper. Extre time for finals and replay the grand final at a later date.
