I dont think Mayweather will take the fight, he has already hinted that he dosnt need to fight Cotto. Id love to see it. I think Cotto would be too much for Mayweather. Im sure after the fight their would be no need for a rematch. And Floyd wont want anyways.

And after he loses he will use his shoulder and hands as an excuse and people will believe him. This story has already been played out before in boxing.

Cotto isn't going to "rob" anyone, least of all Mayweather.  Either Cotto will run Mayweather out of the ring, or Floyd will out run Miguel and pitty pat his way to another boring decision.  Mayweather has questionable power at 147, and didn't bring his P4P dominance up from 140.  Even Cotto's questionable chin will seem stable against Floyd, and Floyd couldn't shake Margarito if he hit Antonio with a brick.  

Oscar ran from Tito after getting nailed in the 7th, the Golden Boy tarnished his rep and never even tried to make a fight of it after Tito tagged him.  Floyd does his running at the negotiating table, and simply ducks any dangerous welterweight without ever having to step into the ring.  I think guys like Clottey, Quintana, Williams, Margarito or Cotto would expose Floyd at welterweight.  Boxing's P4P 140lb. best is a true myth at 147lbs for Floyd.

Floyd had to run to beat an aging and slow DeLa Hoya, Cotto or Margarito would be a lot harder for Floyd to run from than Tito was for Oscar to avoid.  Eventually Floyd would have to stand and fight, and that's when a welter weight chin would expose a super light weight champion, Floyd would lose.

Besides that was Oscars fault for not stating that in the event of a lost he would have an instant rematch in his contract.

Cotto is not the kind of boxer that would be technically savy enough to rob Floyd Mayweather jr. the best he can do against mayweather is put flurries and try to knock him out,mayweather will block most of his punches and counter him with quick jabs and hooks while moving around in the ring (note for the casual boxing fan this is not running...this is being smart) it is very hard to rob someone like Floyd mayweather of a victory (they almost did it with de la hoya) mayweather is a master ring general he knows how to move and play with his opponents without getting hit.

he will Dominate you. It would be obvious to the fans, judges, fighters if he wins a fight..

As for mayweather, He does not want to fight cotto caus he knows cotto is too much for him, Mayweather has NEVER fought a Big, Dangerous heavy puncher.
