Paedophiles are very mentally disturbed desire, that in my opinion uncurable. They are danger to the children. They need to be lock up. I think that this is the only safe place to stop them doing more damaged to the poor young children.

I'm Catholic and I do think our Priest need to be able to have wives. Having no s*x builds up in you like a wild fire. I know s*x is an individual preference, but what happens when his individual preference breaks down? I think that's were chilled molestation accrues. If masturbation is against Gods word, then how do you relieve ones self.

I am not very religous. But, i can never get my head around this idea that you cannot serve God without having a relationship with either s*x.

I consider it backward and unnatural.

Whether it has any bearing on abuse, who knows. It just makes me wonder.

The early Christians could marry but it was St Paul who put a stop to that, I suspect he was a rabid misogynist though...read his teachings - very odd indeed.

Unfortunately I have spent a lot of time around Catholics (Nuns & Priests) and they seem to be people who are scared of the real world & the opposite s*x in particular.... maybe they are attracted to the Priesthood/Nunnery because of this, or maybe my experience is not typical?...   However I believe few people can lead a truly celibate life & a religion that looks down on s*x as "dirty" or "shameful" isn't the gig for me or most people in the 21st century.
