Do you think im a bad person?

Question

I'm 25 been with my boyfriend for five years. We just found out I'm pregnant! I'm not married, but we have talked about it. Im scared to tell my mom and dad. Possibly going to flip, I know my mother will. We both have great jobs. I have a degree, I mean it's not like i'm a bad person or a young teenager who got pregnant right?

i think your old enough to be a great mummy,it's not a if you are 16 and getting pregnant i think that would be different,you shoul be happy and congrats and goodluck

Congrats on the baby, but just because you are 25 doesn't mean u are prepared?! you don't have to be over 20 to be prepared and have a baby?!  I am 19 (yes TEEN) I am married *have been for a year*, i am work at a day care, my husband and i make house payments, car payments, loan payments (we started the loans a while back to get my husbands credit up...and its working!) not to mention my husband is ALSO 19 (in the Army)...we are doing just fine. but i do know quite a few "over 20 year olds" who don't know jack squat about raising and caring for a baby. you can have all the money and degrees in the world and have no clue on how to be a good parent.

age doesn't make you worthy to raise a child...

its maturity, responsibility and Love

if you have that than your on your way... 25 years old or not.

That is great . why not thinking about staying for ever with your partner ?

when you have lived with him for 5 years then you can  last it for ever . the child will omplete your both happiness .

I think you both now should think about the responsibility  and should decide yourselves .

you are old enough  to choose the right thing.

No way! That's awesome! Maybe your Mom will surprise you and be excited for you! Even if she isn't, don't let it get to you...just focus on your unborn child and your boyfriend and make a family together! Tell your Mom she is welcome to be a part of your pregnancy when she is ready and just back off until she comes around! It might not be until she sees the face of her grandchild but I think she will eventually come around. Good luck to you!

Of course not. You have your life on track and it sounds like you're going to have a wonderful life. Perhaps now is the time to start talking about marriage? Congrats on your baby. :)

You aren't a bad person at all. I think it's fine to have a family without being married if your relationship is healthy and stable. If y'all can support the baby and each other then go ahead.  I mean she knows y'all are having s*x right? So what's the big deal.  Congrats and don't worry about it too much. There are alot of married people who have horrible relationships and have kids.

Oh my gosh!  No , not at all your not a bad person at all. Actually Congrats. Honestly not to be mean towards your mother but your a grown woman, there's no need to flip out on you! You are not a bad person.You have a stable relation ship, and you are old enough to make your own decisions.But for the kids sake you should really consider maraige if you haven't already made plans.

Of course YOUR NOT A BAD person! Your mom should be able to come to terms with the fact that her 25 year old daughter is pregnant.  Even though your not married, 5 years is a pretty stable relationship, so Congrats to you and your boyfriend!!

Just because you're 25 doesn't mean you're ready.

If you're asking on an internet forum whether or not you're ready, you are probably not.

And if you're still wondering about your parents' reactions, that means you're probably -- you guessed it.

Even if you're married, it doesn't guarantee that you're ready for a child.
