  1. 1. Probably most species will but like the another poster said more sensitive species more than likely won't

    2. I wish! Could you imagine being able to fill a 30 gallon tank with nothing but bettas...how cool. Unfortunately if this was to happen I don't think people would have such a wide variety of fish as the currently do.

    3. Yeah it would be neat...

I would breed an Angel with a Discus...so they could have the same shape of an angel fish but with the colors of a discus!

  2. Yes yes and yes.My male Betta's don't fight with each other they're

scared of each other. In the same tank.Living for 5 years going strong.

Aquarium fish could adapt to cold water.Because anything could happen.New fish will be cross bred to create new species that's how it all started.

I would cross a kissing gourami and a butterkoferi.

Or a butterkoferi and an oscar.

  3. 1.- No, especially with global warming, I would think that if something like that did happen it would go the other way.

2.- Probably, since there's so people in the betta breeding hobby, I'm sure they'll eventually do selective breeding to produce more passive bettas.

3.- Yes. Breeders, again, selective breeding to create different more interesting fish. They already made the Red Blood Parrots -- sadly mutated-looking fish, but awfully popular. Who knows what they'll come up with next.

I would most likely cross Discus with Angelfish, super colorful beautiful fish. :)

  4. 1) i doubt it

    2) quite possibly! unfortunately, that means no more flaring. i just love watching male bettas flare up at each other, or their reflection.

    3) for sure!

hmmm.... this takes a bit of thinking! after a while i will probably come up sith a much. much better combination, but perhaps german blue ram cross betta? just a thought.

    great questions :)

  5. i would cross bred a paradise fish with a halfmoon betta fish

they are both nest builders and their the closest relatives to each other

    that would be interesting

  6. to the last guy...trust me you don't wana mix anything with a buttikoferi...i have 2 of them and at 2in they were picking on my 6in texas
