  4. some part might be,  stay away from the north, but other places are amazing. dublin is definitely booming, and there are other large cities such as galway that are amazing!

  5. no its booming ,new roads. almost full employment, population has risen dramatically which is putting a strain on health service.Whilst everyday items may be slightly dearer in comparison to other E.U countries we do have petrol at€1 a litre .our people are friendly and have a positive outlook  and the majority of our people own their own homes.Education is first class so if we are run down long may it continue.

  6. Ireland has lots of great stuff.  One of the most beautiful scenarios around.

  7. Ireland is a modern country, just don't be scared of its medical system (ER, doctors). But with time and money this will be corrected. Same for roads and train infrastructure.

Some sundays mornings though the streets of Dublin and Cork are just one big dirty mess.

  8. Ireland - north and south are not run down. both have good economies with great workers and decent health and education infrastructure. the republic has a fantastic road building programme on the go at the mo...so NO neither the Republic nor Northern Ireland are rundown.

  9. no its not its anything but!!!

  10. No, Ireland is not a rundown country at all (North or South)

I live in Belfast in the North and it has become booming, especially over the last five years. I have travelled all over Ireland and it is a beautiful country and there is nowhere else in the world I would rather live.

To the person who said stay away from the North.... We are not in the 1970's anymore in case you hadn't noticed - get with the times :)

  11. infrastructure and public transport traditionally wouldmn't have been very strong but most of the cities and big towns have come on a lot in recent years.certain places have ben left behind and other places could have been planned better but our scenery hasn't been damaged much.Overall i think that's it's a pretty pleasant country to live in with a great nightlife in some parts.

  12. Absolutely NOT.

Ireland is growing it's infrastructure in leaps and bounds.  House building is booming (slow down this coming year though). The population of Ireland is growing by millions every year.

Although I will say the Health Service is virtually moribund....
