Do you think is an appropriate gift for a friend or coworker?

I'd like to give them a framed portrait of a photograph I took while vacationing in Barbados. I got it in Black and White and it looks really nice in a black border frame.

Do you think this is an okay gift?

I dont think so, because you are giving something of zero monetary value telling them that here is a photograph i took while on my  vacation.  If i got that, i would be looking down on the person who gave it too me.  But i would be nice and say thank you anyway.

no too personal kind of like saying remember me always unless it's a GOOD and CLOSE coworker friend then ok but if not no... You should get them a gift card and a card

Do you mean that the photograph, when framed, is a nice piece of artwork for a wall or that you are so pleased with the way it turned out that you think your coworker wants a quality momento of a trip YOU took?  

If you think that the subject matter is appropriate for the coworker's residence, go ahead.  What it DOES say about you is that you think VERY highly of your skills as a photographer...

Yes if it's given in the spirit of generosity.  Give it if you truly want to share the beauty of this place and you think they'll enjoy it.  Don't give it if it's to say, "I'm a talented photographer and I went to Barbados."

I think it's a very sweet gift.  I would feel very special if a friend gave me a piece of his or her own work.
