will technology in the future find a way break the e=mc2 rule, or do you think it's inpossible? I think it's possible, we jsut havent figured a way to do it, I think when we do it'll will be so much easier to visit planets and galaxies that are way out of reach.

  1. No.  It has nothing to do with being able to 'imagine' a way to do it.  It's a rule of the universe.  Mass increases as speed increases, with no limit as the speed approaches the speed of light.  That means it would require infinite energy to accelerate something to the speed of light, and infinite energy is impossible.

We may, however, be able to find 'shortcuts' through space that allow the same *effect* as faster than light travel without actually traveling faster than light, like wormholes, warp drives or extra dimensional travel.  All of those ideas are, of course, just a pipe dream right now though, it's not even clear if they're possible in theory, much less in practice.

  2. For me it is possible. Because people as of now are really challenging their selves to create great inventions that are more modern and greater than what is already there. That's all, thank you!

  3. It's most likely possible. Humans as of yet do not know everything, so just because we can't yet imagine a way to go beyond the speed of light doesn't really mean that there is no way. :) Besides, we're still stuck with fossil fuels. xD

  4. Yes i do

The things they have done now,When they said that can never be done

But its not going to be in our life time even your kids life time and theirs

  5. I don't see why not.  But for the moment the last I heard they were trying to work on a plane that could fly through space and not the space shuttles we got right now either.  Just a matter of time and someone or more than one someone being smart enough to figure it out.  But on the flip side if it's to be smart enough to do that and even smarter be able to colonize other planets like how it is here on earth.  Than I would hope it never becomes possible cause we've made a mess of this planet don't need to add others to the list in my opinion.

  6. It is impossible for a material object to travel at the speed of light, let alone faster than that. The equations show that at light speed, an object's mass would be infinite, so it cannot be accelerated to the speed of light. For even greater speed, its mass would be much greater than infinity, and that is impossible. Time would become zero at light speed and become imaginary at greater speeds. Length in direction of travel becomes zero at light speed, so you would be squashed totally flat. What would happen at speeds above those of light to that length? Think about that? To refute anything, you must understand it quite well. You obviously do not understand relativity at all here, and some people who answer the question need to study it too. It is not likely that anyone can ever figure out a way around such a fundamental law of nature, so we are probably stuck in out own solar system forever.
