Do you think it's a good idea that I trade in my mp3 player @ the pawn shop for money to get food?

*BEFORE YOU JUDGE: I'M ON THE LIBRARY COMPUTER*

I'm financially struggling. My player is 2 yrs. old & only functions when it wants to. I'm sick & tired of it, & I need food. I don't care if I get $20 for it! Nice trade, don't you think?

  1. However, hopefully it will function long enough for you to sell it to the pawn shop.

  2. do it why not food is a necessity where as mp is luxury......... i wonder if i have anything i can sell.

  3. Well... if it doesn't work, I would definitely get rid of it for 20.00

Food is a necessity, so it is always more important than an ipod.

Please make sure that you are not just looking for a quick fix. Something got you into this situation, so make sure to change your financial strategy so that this doesn't have to happen again. Trust me, I know its hard, but cutting back on certain things now can help you drastically in the future.

Good luck, if you have any questions feel free to email me.

  4. The Pawn Shop is going to make you turn it on and they will check it first before they make you an offer.   Then, if your MP3 player is 2 years old.... they know that, too....  they see them 20x a day...   If you paid $100.00 for your MP3 player two years ago...  it might be worth $10 - $15... maybe not.   You can try it.  But if they don't offer the 20.... go to several shops.   Someone might give you that much.  BUT it has to be working.

  5. Food is much more important than an mp3 player.  The pawnshop may give you $20 if its a nice iPod, but much less if its a Wal-mart brand.  BTW if when you take it to the Pawn shop it doesn't work properly, they won't take it.
