Do you think it's alright to take an 8-year-old to see "Made of Honor"?

I was just wondering whether it's appropriate enough for someone of that age

I think it depends on how mature the eight year old is.  I probably wouldn't take an eight year old myself, since I don't want to have to do the obligatory discussion of s*x, swear words and drugs and alcohol and where all of these are appropriate and when they are not.  

So I wouldn't take an eight year old to see it, and I probably wouldn't approve of anyone taking their eight year old either.

No, i dont think it is. Its rated PG 13 for a reason- it has some s*x, and bad language. There are many other movies out that would be appropriate for that age group, but Made of Honor is not one of them.

No, that's why it's rated PG13. It's too mature for someone your daughter's age.

If it is rated above PG, then NO.  If it is PG, then read some reviews and see what the content is and if you feel it is appropriate.  If you are the parent that is your decision, however if you are not, I really hope you ask the child's parent/parents.   The title does not sound like a "kid" movie.  I would skip this one with the child.

Its a parents choice.. my son is 5 and went to see halloween....

but he knows better and understands right from wrong... and what not to repeat....

I just saw that movie. It was nothing too bad. It doesn't have nudity but it does have some mild language.

I wouldn't take my daughter. If you go and see it first though, and think she can watch it then go for it. I haven't seen it though! Sorry.
