So I just transfered to a out of state college and I only have a year and a half left of school. I really want to join the business fraternity but I'm not sure if it's pointless or not since I'm almost done. I don't know if it will be a big distraction joining, since I should probably focus on finishing up. But, I would like to join the frat to make some friends, get involved, and get some networking going for after graduation.

What do you think I should do?

  1. Go for it.

You only get ONE GREAT college experience right? So live it up!! It doesnt matter how late it is, just as long as you get it. Lifes too short to say "what if". Nike it dude!((Just do it))

  2. It really is never too late to join a fraternity.  It is a GREAT thing to put down on an official reseme.  So if you want to you should because if you ever have children of your own, they will greatly benefit from that when college comes around for them.  Children whos parents were a part of greek life in college are more prone to get numerous of scholarships so if you feel like you want to then do it, just don't party too hard, you're almost done!!!!!

  3. I think it's pointless to join a fraternity, period.

  4. I would totally join.  I've never been in a business frat, but I did join a sorority last fall.  (I was also a transfer student with less than 2 yrs left), I later decided it wasn't for me - mostly because most of the students were so much younger, and it reminded me of high school in a way, however, I'm still very glad I did it, and it was an EXCELLENT way to make some friends and get involved.  Even though I wasnt sure whether I would enjoy it/have time for it/etc., I am still so glad I tried it and have that experience under my belt...

So in short, I definitely think you should do it for the sake of meeting ppl and becoming involved - especially as a new transfer student.  Good luck and have fun - this is only chance you'll ever get to do this - remember that too!
