Do you think it's possible for spirits to communicate through animals?

In one of Psi's links...it tells of a unicorn communicating with the mother of Confucius.

Somewhere in the Bible...there's an animal that talked,I think.

I know this is far fetched...just "food for thought".

  1. Well first you have to establish the existence of animals. Until you have done that everything else is just speculation and that is Never allowed in science. We must always know everything about any situation, event, or species before we start to experiment. Sure we could establish hypothesis for testing but what would these based on if we didn't already know everything about what we were studying. I mean experiments are only to prove to other people that we are right about what we know.

I have seen no compelling evidence for the existence of animals so until we establish animals exist we can't study how they might communicate between themselves, other species, or spirits.

Sure it might be possible if animals are proven to be real.

I realize that the psuedosciences of biology, zoology, anthropology, and sociology have studied this phenomena for years but until animals are proven to be real they can't be called sciences when they study "animals"

Also, since communication among humans is so well understood and there are never any misunderstandings then human/spirit communication would certainly be easier to study.

  2. Well, they aren't going to talk.  Most other species don't have the vocal chords for it, and any spirit entity inhabiting an animal would be hampered by its mental and physical limitations.  If it was going to communicate telepathically, it wouldn't have to take over an animal to do so.

I would say this is extremely unlikely.

  3. If you're going to believe the Bible, then you're going to believe in talking animals and spirits. God talked through a donkey in the Bible (look up Balaam), so if you believe that stuff, there you go. It's never happened since.

  4. I believe animals have spirits and are much more aware than people generally know, but the depth of that awareness is subjective. For instance, it's plain that birds communicate through song, and only a dim person would say they are only 'making noise'. Birds are communicating as clearly as we are now, only in their own undeciphered language. Spirits may speak through animals, but that, too, is undeciphered.

  5. Why animals though? Doesnt the fact that all legends concerning that are about animals tell you that humans think there special enough for "spirits" to use another living being as a tool?

  6. Spirits dont communicate through animals , because animals cant communicate like humans do , therefore their message would be kind of confusing or twisted ! In this case THE SPIRIT TAKES THE FORM OF ANY ANIMAL HE LIKES or the most adequate according  to the kind of message is bringing !

  7. Native Americans would go on vision quests, and sometimes a particular animal would come through.   That is one culture that stressed the interconnectedness of human beings with the rest of nature.  There are many in our own American and European cultures who have the attitude that the rest of nature is just something for mankind to have dominion over.

If you have pets, you know that they communicate with you.  They do not have to be able to speak to let you know what they want and need. And why wouldn't they be receptive to spiritual communication?   They don't have the hang-ups of dogma or preconceived notions about what is a valid perception that many human beings have. And they seem to be very intuitive.   For example, they know if you are not feeling well, what strangers are safe and which are not, etc.
