Do you think it's ridiculous for an 8-year-old to have a Pink Razor Phone?

I mean, i could understand a firefly or something but a RAZOR??!!!

thats beyond ridiculous. seriously, last week i saw a 4th grader with an env 2, a way nicer phone than i have.  she was texting like nonstop, no offense but what and who does a fourth grader have to text and even if all her little friends have phones and can text message, wat do they possibly have to say? seriously, phones and stuff are supposed to be a privelage of growing up, and if u get wen ur like eight, ur not grown up and theres no excitement in it.

Yes.  An 8 year old child should be well supervised therefore he should not be alone, and therefore shouldn't need a cell phone - any type.  If he was going somewhere without his parents, his parents should know where he is going and who he is going with and so again, he wouldn't need a cell phone.  If they don't know or trust the people he is with, then they should not let him go with them. Cell phones are not toys.  He is 8 years old.  He does not need a cell phone.

But they should have gotten the kid a old phone or a tracfone

Cell phones comes in different ages these days and times. It was probably an old phone their parent or older sibling had or maybe it came with a family plan. Also, there are  crazy people out there trying to knidnap and rape etc they need one for protection.

It's ridiculous for them to have it in the first place. Where the h**l are they going that their parents would be unable to easily contact them? Razors suck anyway, my friend snapped hers in half just by opening it.

no i got my first phone when i was six it was a motorola but not a razor they didnt have them then i am 14 now and i have a htc touch smart phone which costs like $600 dollars
