Do you think it's right for parents to tell their kids this?

If you decide to be g*y, don't come back around here or (if white) don't bring home a black person, hispanic, asian or whatever and vice versa. Or if you go out with a christian or buddhist or whatever. I know a few who have told their kids(well 18 and older) some of those things. My friend told his daughter(whose a L*****n) not to come to his house unless she brings a guy home. A christian guy I know told his son if he marries a buddhist or atheist to never talk to him again. I think it's sad, what do you think?

Of course it's not right, and I think you already knew the answer to this, because it's just too obvious that parents should not be so closed minded when dealing with their children.

A friend of a friend was told by his father, while he was only about 10 years old that if he ever brought home a black kid again, the father would kill the black kid.  I was disturbed to hear that a parent would ever talk that way to his kid or about another child.  The boys had been doing homework together.  I think that he had to have mental problems to have that kind of attitude, and you know what?  His son ended up growing up to be an extremely violent, dysfunctional person.  I think we can all connect the dots.  Very sad.

parents like that are the reason abortions are legal. if my dad told me that, i would tell his boss LOL.

It's not right. Some of it means that the parents are racist and want to turn their children into monsters just because they're different.
