  1. get your facts straight before u say things like that. did u know that it it your American universities and colleges that come to places like Jamaica OFFERING full scholarships to study and train in the respective university at the cost of the students representing them in the college league.....now u tell me #1 that is a fair trade #2 If someone is offering u a FULL scholership arnt u gona take it????but u cant expect them to forget their roots and where they came from....the should represent their nation.....the  one who taught them originally.....u think is just anybody that they recruit? no is  the extremely talented ones who train hard in high school. and even still there are people who sell us out like sandy Richards who is Jamaican

  2. Yes they come to the US and train, but that's not all. They usually go to university, and while there they compete for their schools. That's the major reason they are brought to the US, so that Americans can be entertained when their local universities do well in sports. So it's not like you're doing them a favor for nothing in return.

  3. yeah why not

  4. Why not.  This is the Olympics, not some sort of War.  Think of all the friendly relations we create doing this.

  5. Yes. I mean, I don't have a problem with it.

The US has some (if not the) best sports facilities and coaches in the world. If people from other countries didn't come here to train, they MAY be at a disadvantage because of a lack of resources if that makes sense.

Keep in mind I said "may." I don't know if athletes would be any worse if they didn't train here. That's just what I think MIGHT happen.

  6. Nope...except it shows that we are experienced and know what we are doing?

  7. probably.. US has more training and is more advanced than poorer contries. they have experience and since us has like the most medals so far, they could be good and then when it is Olymipcs time they win.

but if they are representing a different country, then they should not do that because US should win and it was US that helped them be good

  8. not fair like paul gasol for LA laker and play for spain in olympics instead of USA

  9. This is exactly what makes our country great, but makes us vulnerable as well. Most of these athletes couldn't make the US team, so they go back home to impress the locals.

  10. It's an allegedly free country so you can't stop them

  11. The point of sport is the excellence of the individual or the team, not where they train.  As long as they're not hurting anything, why not?

It beats having people coming here to sell drugs or blow people up...

  12. Can't blame em. But there can be counterarguments. Such as is it ok for Shawn Johnson to be coached by a Chinese man and not American? Is it ok for Alicia to be coached by a Russian man? is it ok for Nastia Liukin to be representing the US although she was born in Moscow and is being coached (parents as well) by Olympians who represented USSR back in the day?

  13. Well no, it's not I suppose, but first I'd like to see us stop having SOLDIERS from other countries training here.

  14. What about the coaches that used to coach for other countries and have come to the US and train our athletes now?  And what about the Americans who travel to other countries to train because the environments and facilities are better there?

So what's the problem with them coming here?

  15. its wrong even though we are a free country your are suppose to train in your country to rightfully represent it
