Do you think it's to early for a positive?

my period does not start untill mondaybut i could not wait so i took a test first thing this morning very faint line i had to hold it up to the light i took another late this afternoon just a dollar store brand and there was about the same faint line do you think a positive or negative?

Sounds like a positive to me!! It showed up thats all that matters, even if it was faint. It just means that there's not enough hormones to make the line darker. If you were to test in a couple weeks or something, it should be darker. Since you said you period is due Monday, I would wait to test probably Tuesday or Wednesday. You could even test on Monday, but I would want to make sure I'm atleast 1 day late to retest. But yes, does sound like a positive!!! Good luck and God Bless

It is positive.  No matter how faint the line is, you are pregnant.  The line on the test detects the hcg, which is the hormone that is present only when you are pregnant.  I would wait a couple of days and take another one because your levels should double.  Good luck.

as long as the test line was the same color as the control line and not greyish, it's positive.  :D

Yes, its probably too early for an at home test.  You could schedule a blood test with your doctor and theres really no chance of mistaking that one.  I believe your local family planning clinic would be able to give you a test.  I've taken numerous tests before and saw the "faint line" and I was SO sure I was pregnant.  Turns out all I was seeing is the line thats put in place to activate if you have HcG in your urine (which would mean you are pregnant).  It can show up just a little when its hit by the light.  If you still aren't satisfied, wait for your cycle to start or wait for a week or two and re-test.  Thats really all you can do aside from getting a blood test.
