Do you think it's too early?

My sister-in-law finished her period 2 days before she had s*x with her hubby, and then she started spotting a light pink yesterday and today (4 days after s*x). Has anyone ever had this? Could it be implantation bleeding? Her cycles range from 22-25 days and she has never bled in between cycles. She seems to think it's too early for implantation bleeding, but there's a chance since her cycles are so close together she could have ovulated pretty early. What do you think? Thanks for answers.

  1. Well, it could be implantation, or it could be mid-cycle spotting or ovulation spotting. Mid-cycle spotting can occur because the change in estrogen levels causes a slight shedding of the lining (which for me I believe that is why I get it). Or is could be ovulation spotting, when the egg bursts through the follicle causes a little bit of bleeding. I would think it was more mid-cycle or ovulation spotting rather than implanation - it seems a little early for that.

  2. if she has short cycles, then there is always a possibility. implantation occurs about 7-10 days after ovulation. as a rule of thumb. but since she has shorter cycles--then i guess anything is possible. have her test the day after her next period is due and to use first morning urine as it contains the highest levels of the hcg pregnancy hormone. good luck!

  3. Its too early for implantation bleeding.. I believe its either left over blood from last period or due to rough s*x.. but then again.. anything is possible since her cycle is pretty short.. GD

  4. It is too early to be implantation bleeding.

Some women will notice light bleeding about 10 to 14 days after fertilization. This is called implantation bleeding, and is caused by the egg implanting itself in your uterus. As the egg finds a home for itself in your uterus, it may disrupt the lining just a little bit, causing light bleeding. This bleeding should only last a couple of days and be fairly light. Implantation bleeding is nothing to worry about, but if it gets heavy at any time, or continues longer than a couple of days, see a doctor.

I suppose it is a rest of period or a little rough s*x.

  5. i don't think its implantation bleeding.
