Do you think it's true people who become unemployed shun social outlets for the reason reported by Y! news?

The report basically says something about people not wanting to go to stuff if no one can help them.

I think it's baloney.

People who are normally social butterflies avoid social things when unemployed...coz they can't afford it...coz they think they will be a drag or drain on others with whom they can't keep up...more reasons....

What are your opinions?

i think it is due to the fact that they have less money along with some unemployed might have depression.
