  1. Sure, I think a plant is a nice gift.

  2. i think its a nice gift

  3. sure.

  4. Definitely.  Maybe a silk one though so there is no maintenance?

  5. yea i think that would be nice.

  6. Yes, and they should give you a dictionary.

  7. Sure, I think it's a great gift. That's where most of my plants came from.

  8. why on earth would it not be? i think so. if its nice. i think its a great idea.

  9. yes why not.... Unless she's allergic...lol

  10. yes! and that is a really cute idea=] if i ever need a gift idea can i ask you?

  11. yes because she can keep it in her class and show kids responsibility

  12. i think that'd be nice.

  13. yes...and thank her for "planting" the seeds of education in your child!

  14. It is very appropriate and thoughtful.

  15. Why not? She can keep it at the school and show the students how to take care of a plant, teaches little kids how important plant life is.

  16. I would think so. My sister works at a daycare actually and I know she'd appreciate it... but then again my sister would probably prefer flowers more, but that's just her.

You know the daycare teacher so you'd know the best gift for her =)

  17. It depends on the plant..if you dress it up like its a gift with a bow and everything would be better. Target, Best Buy or any other major store's gift card would work as well..they are always appreciated! hope this helps! :)

  18. Yes, I think that is a great gift.  They could take it home or keep it at the daycare.  An aloe plant would be really cool. And please don't give them an apple...

  19. why dont you give her soap or some bath stuff.

Im sure she needs it after messing with kids all day(:

  20. only if she doesn't have pets or allergies- gift cards work best I have found- like a 5 or 10 dollar gift card to the movies, blockbuster, starbucks, etc

  21. Definitely!

My daughter gave her preschool teacher a plant as a gift. My daughter painted her own pot to give it a personal touch and the teacher just loved it!

So, that might be a good idea if you aren't doing it already.

    Good luck!

  22. It is nice. It reaffirms the idea that you trust her to keep small living things alive and well :)

  23. Completely inappropriate. Ha ha ha....Really it's such a safe gift that it's like giving the teacher a carton of milk. It's a fine gift.

  24. Yes, I think so. As long as it is not extremely expensive , nor should it be really unique, something that needs special care.

It should just be something simple but hearty.

    That's very sweet!

  25. Sure. It's not like you're buttering here up to give your kids good grades. As long as she likes plants, go for it.

  26. Absolutely! and with a note that says you appreciate her nurturing and caring and are sure she will nurture the plant to full bloom as she does for your child.

  27. Depending on the plant, something small and simple to care for would be nice.

  28. Of course.

The best way to give a gift to your child's teacher or caretaker, is to have a cute card, and have it 'from' your child directly.

You can put a little note inside saying that you too appreciate her watching over your child.

Make the card short and sweet.

If you child is too young to carry the plant to the teacher, then whey you give it to her, say  "_________ <--(child's name) and I just wanted to say thank you!

If you make it into a big deal she will feel obligated to return the favor.

Just a quick thank you with the gift & brief note is the best policy.

You don't want to make her feel you have ulterior motives.

You just want to make a nice gesture of "thanks".

    I hope this helps.

(Oh, you might want to make sure she isn't allergic to plants or pollen (shouldn't assume she isn't)).

  29. Of Course! unless she thinks she'll kill it... or is allergic... but other than yeah of course. what kind though? regular foliage or something more exotic like a miniature jade tree?

  30. If she already has houseplants, especially int he classroom, I say yes, but if she doesn't or you ar not sure, try something Else because she might not like to care for plants. maybe a vase of flowers would be better.

  31. yes, i don't see why not?

in my opinion a house plant's a pretty nice gift for a daycare teacher...
