Do you think it is cruel?

When they show "blooper" videos on tv of people falling over etc...and then they have one of some kid pulling anothers hair...or of a baby falling over? They show this type of thing at the end of Richard and Judy apparently...what's the difference between that and showing evil videos of toddlers fighting on youtube...like some wicked person posted a while ago and then got rightly put in prison for....my Mum wanted me to ask this as she liked Richard and Judy before they started putting this stuff on....

Hi I have never seen what you are on about on richard and judy but I have seen kids falling over and hurting themselvs on things like youve been framed but the thing is these are accidents where as the things on you tube on story I rememeber that was in the news was where the parents actually got there children to fight and were egging them on and the children were fighting properly, so I think that what you are talking about is a different form of it

things like that are accidents and kids will be kids afterall when it comes to fighting.

Yes it's cruel.  I hate watching those, where you can see the kid is going to get hurt, and the person holding the recorder just sits there giggling.  Then, the child gets hurt, and there's a few seconds of them screaming before anyone goes to help.  If this wasn't being recorded for "entertainment" shows, wouldn't that be something close to neglect?  Surely allowing a child to get hurt by not intervening is just as bad as causing it yourself?

I personally don't find it funny.  I never understand what is funny about someone falling over.  I certainly don't like to see clips of children falling and hurting themselves and crying afterwards, it used to make me feel a bit sick to see this sort of thing on "You've Been Framed" and all the morons in the audience chuckling as some five year old sobs their eyes out after falling off a trampoline.  Nasty.

There are much funnier things out there.  I guess you have to be pretty low brow to be amused by this.

i dont like that they have that stuff on tv. i wouldnt be recording that c**p i would be running after my kid to try and stop it...grrr those shows make me mad

Of course it's cruel.  Humans love laughing at others getting hurt or acting stupid (you know, like the guys trying to jump on a trampoline from their roof and then land in a pool - then they miss?).  Think about it: even the "reality shows" on now take advantage of the "It's funny to see other people acting stupid and getting hurt" factor.  Sad. Very sad.

I saw one video of a dad holding a cat that didn't want to be held, and he's right beside his four kids while Mom is taping. The cat is yowling, hissing and trying to scratch the kids while the dad keeps the cat in their faces - the kids scream and cry throughout the while thing.  What's the value of that??
