OH MY GOSH!! I think it is so backwards, I think men should be manly and if a man's wife is over him and he is just a common citizen while she is like president its like what is wrong with him!?!? I just think weak and disgraceful and then his wife is probably some manly feminist in pant suits, yuck!! I mean God made man to be head of the household and this goes against it and its so unnatural.

  1. Please don't have daughters.

  2. You have a religious spirit. Ask Deborah the prophetess, or Esther or Aquilla & Priscilla.

  3. Pfff, women with political power = hot

  4. humbling for him  but he should be proud of her.

  5. A village in the Dark Ages called: they want their idiot and their ideas back.

  6. Actually, if I was president, and my husband couldn't handle it, he could just leave.

You can stay in the kitchen and be barefoot and pregnant all you want, but I got bills to pay, little lady.

  7. Not at all.

It seems to me that you are the only one who would be uncomfortable.

  8. A real man would not have a problem with this.

  9. Shut up and go do the dishes.

  10. i don't think it is....but for some people in a relationship it might be, he might think he isn't capable to take care of his family, or feel less of a man cuz he dosn't make as much money, or as good of a job, but really that's something couples need to talk about.

  11. It depends on the man.

Some men are very weak - like Prince Philip (UK)  and how he has had to walk two steps behind his wife for the last 60 years. That is so humiliating watch.

What he should have done was to create a life of his own like Princess Diana did. But no he stayed home and watched the wife do her job.

No wonder Prince Charles was so embarrased because his wife was so strong and she created her own life. She outshone him and was a lot more popular than he was, I mean is.

Charles grew up an excellent teacher in how to be WEAK.

His sons have grown up with an excellent teacher in how to be strong. (their mother Princes Diana)

  12. Actually, the only biblical mandate is that a woman cannot have authority over a man in church.  There is nothing about women in leadership roles over a nation.  In fact, Deborah, a judge in Israel, ruled in Israel for some time.  (Cf. Judges 4:4ff)

  13. Honey, I remember a time when women were allowed to be only nurses secretaries and teachers, and only while they were single.  I remember my 3rd grade teacher having to give up her position because she was pregnant.

There was a time when women weren't allowed to vote. there was a time when women weren't allowed to read, go to college and become professionals.

I'm proud of what we feminists accomplished in the 60's and 70's. In the 70's it was contravercial for a woman to even become a doctor!

We added more intellect and talent into society by allowing women to do things their grandmothers could only have dreamed of.  Our talents as A NATION of PEOPle have surpassed the archaic notion of women being second class citizens.

And you think a woman president would be yucky?

tell that to Golda Maier (look her up sometime) and Margaret Thatcher, and other women of quality and substance who have been an inspiration to women everywhere, not to mention serving their countries to the fullest.

Except, sadly for you it seems.

I am proud that women now have the power to be president. Any husband worth his salt would be proud too.  Marriage, dearie is a partnership, not an enslavement.  Nobody is the head of my household.  My husband and I are equal partners, thank you, and that's why we've been married 25 years.  We treat each other with dignity and respect.

You have a lot to learn. I advise you to start educating yourself now. Otherwise you'll be stuck under your intellectual burquah for the rest of your life.

  14. No.

Do I think you are a troll?

    Yes.

  15. My husband would actually be really proud of me. As he was the day I got my masters degree. I don't think its a game where women have to hide their light under the bushel so to speak so that any man in her life might not feel less talented in some area by comparison. I think a healthy person accepts we are individuals of different strengths and talents regardless of gender. If he married her he probably appreciated her capacities and she obviously saw some things very special in him to marry him as well. Her becoming president shouldn't destroy a healthy man or relationship although time constraints and job pressure can be difficult in these situations for any couple regardless of which gender is in office. To me at any rate a man who would feel as you describe is the weak man.

  16. Being a female president makes her manly? Sorry young lady, your life is going to be a very shallow endeavor if you don't get an education. Eating bon-bons and watching Jerry Springer isn't going to prepare you for life.

  17. Only if it was a man that wasn't a strong comfortable man.

Did you know a "real" man can get away with wearing pink?

If you just want people to agree with you, you shouldn't be here. Get your "yes" men somewhere else.

  18. You mean you "believe" God made man to be the head of the household. That's not a proven fact.

  19. you should go  live in a cave and be contented being an ordinary housewife.

  20. no i think it should be an honor. if u wife has that amoun to drive and devotion you picked a good one!

  21. I am so very saddened by your comments, because we have gained so very much in the past few decades.

You seem to take it for granted that a man is supposed to be in charge of his spouse. A woman in charge need not be a female version of the awful boss. That certainly happens, but it does not have to, and I've seen both examples, so I know a woman can be incharge without being a castrating b|tch. Indeed, the woman who is confident of her abilities and of herself, and who knows what she is doing is a joy to work with.

Read about Maggie's husband. While she was prime minister, he did not die. He didn't become anything like what you imagine. He just kept on.

As a young woman, you either believe a woman is equally able to do most jobs or you don't, and it looks like you don't, and this, as I said before, saddens me. Literally millions of women gave enormous sacrifices so that your generation would have a chance to claim what is rightfully yours: an equal shot at the good jobs and the perks that go with them. Some of these women gave their very lives to give you that chance, and you throw it away like some worthless trinket.

I hope that it is the immaturity talking, and that, as you grow in years, you will realize the importance of having the right to make your own choices, not just go along with some jerk who happens to be married to you and happens to be a man.

    Jim

Of course, if you're a male and a troll, then FY.

  22. Perhaps the manly husband has no interest in politics and the woman does.  While I agree that women don't look as good in pantsuits, there is no reason why they should not hold any political office they are qualified for.

  23. Not in the least. i wish my wife was President

  24. I think any decent man would be proud of his wife for being President. I know if I were a man I would be. Its the 21st century not the 1100s.

Now why don't you run along and go back tokissing your husbands feet, popping out babies every 9 months, and standing in front of your stove all day.

  25. Ah, no!  What country do you live in?

  26. What kind of weak, pitiful man has to have a wife with lesser status in order to feel like a man?  You might as well say that men are so inferior that they must be artificially elevated by making sure no women are allowed in higher posts.
