The teachers at school can control when you use the bathroom? Today i drank a lot of water after running the mile & in social studies i really had to use the bathroom, but every time i asked, my teacher wouldn't let me go, & we weren't even doing anything important!

they, legaly, can not stop you from going to the bathroom if u really need to go. just get up and walk out.

There is no perfect solution. If they didn't do that then kids would just go hang out in the hallway anytime they wanted. Just use the bathroom between classes and by the way you shouldn't drink a lot of water when you run because it will give you cramps.

yea it is ridiculous but then again you are in high school and a lot of high schoolers have ruined that rule for everone else by being irresponsible and cutting class by saying they have to use the bathroom..it is unfair if you really have to go but thank your irresponsible peers for ruining it for you..bcuz if high schoolers didnt use the bathroom as an irresponsible tool for cutting class they wouldnt have that rule...sorry

Walk Out! Just explain to them that is is dyer emergency. Dont be rude though. Some teachers take their job too seriously. There is really nothing you can do about it though.

I dont think its fair, but you can always get your dr to write you a letter to your school stating that you need to go to the restroom when you ask its important! LOL! It works!

If it is an emergency, then u should seriously explain this to ur teachers. If u are a girl, most adults should understand most of the time that we have are moment every month. If it happens again u should say something to ur mom or dad.

ha, yea. you should at least be able to control when you can use the bathroom. when a teacher tells me no i usually just go anyways as long as its not during something important like a lecture. the teachers usually get mad but hey, if you gotta go you gotta go.

I think it's pretty sick. In the uni, you just stand up and walk away, without explanation.

But at least they no longer spank you in front of everyone. Hated it!

My mum always told me that if i needed to pee, i should go - even if the teacher tells me i can't and if they wish to discuss this matter they can ring her, haha.

Plus, holding your pee is bad for you, it can sit in your bladder and become stagnant causing an infection. It can also cause your bladder to expand and cause bladder spasms. It can also back up into your kidneys and over time it can cause kidney failure.

Tell your teacher to stick that in their pipe and smoke it.

whenever that happens to me, i just leave!!! when i have to go i have to go, no one can tell me if i can or not lol. then i just go to the office and tell them i had an emergency and the teacher wouldn't let me go, and i dont get in trouble :)

no i dont think its fair :S and if your late they ask why your late like they dont believe you went to the restroom, seriously not every trip is quick, besides its not good holding it in ..what if you have constipation, etc :p :P

yea it sucks, but it is their classroom. tell your teacher that its an emergency...if they dont let you go then just walk out and go to the restroom.

that sounds pretty harsh. Even in the middle of a test you should be able to go to the bathroom. It is true that you can typically hold your wee for another hour after you initially have to go, but if you have to go, the teacher should let you go..
