  1. It is an effective method of power in Singapore as it is so close to the ocean. Therefore, the wind speed is high enough. Besides, the country has the technologies to harness it properly.

    There r several alternatives, like tidal engery, wave energy, thermal, hydro etc etc


  2. In order to harness wind energy a large area of vacant land is needed. Scaricity of land may be a hurdle. For Singapore installing smaller wind- turbines on the rooftops of buildings can be developed into a suitable alternative.

    Of course other alternative of thermal, atomic, hydro, etc. have their advantages and disadvantages.

  3. Refer to the previous answer. Singapore is not a windy space compared to say Sydney or San Francisco. You can just compared the sea waves between Sydney and Singapore to see the difference.

    I think solar energy is a more viable alternative looking at the geographical location of Singapore. It has plenty of sunlight almost throughout the year. The panels can be installed on the roof of the buildings.
