...I think it would be good to say your own opinion and get other people's opinion. That way you get opinions from more than one person.

It helps getting other people's opinions because they might be able to think of things in a different way, or give you ideas you haven't thought of.  However, after I listen to other people I do what I think is right.  

You have to be careful when offering other people your opinion.  If they ask for it, then definitely give it to them.  But if they don't ask for it, be careful.  There are times when it's better to keep your opinions to yourself and times when you should speak up.  

Sometimes people just want you to listen to them without putting in your two cents.  If you start giving them your opinion, then you're not being there for them in the way they need you to be.  

On the other hand, if you know the person is doing something very wrong or hurtful, then speak up anyway.  A true friend tells someone the truth when others are afraid to.
