Do you think it is possible to heal/help people in your dreams?

Question

I sometimes dream that I am healing or helping someone. These dreams are extremely life like and vivid. Sometimes the person I am working with is a family member or someone I know... many other times a complete stranger. If there are other people in the dream, they are usually not aware that I am there. (the person I am working with seems to be conscious of me though) Sometimes there is a man or woman with the person that needs help/healing - they might tell me what is wrong or guide me to know how to help the person. I get the feeling that the others in the dream can't see this guide either.

My question is.... do you think that some kind of real healing work IS taking place, or are these just ordinary made up dreams?

You should look into getting some training in Reiki or other spiritual healing system, you could do wonders.

Since you are a woman, you are probably the main care taker of your family.

Either by doing the cooking, cleaning, or raising the kids.

You have a lot of people that depend on you.

So then it channels into your dreams as well.

If you enjoy helping people, then maybe you should turn your career into human services; like non for profit charities, hospital work, social worker.

do u know one thing(please don't think that i am stupid or weird) i believe in paranormal stuffs. i really think that what u said is really possible because i have vivid dreams just ike that. i really am serious. if u r a guy who does not believe in weird stuffs then my answer is that u have an over active imagination or watch horror movies or read books like that. yes some kind of healing IS REALLY taking place. and i am so happy for that, helping people who r in pain is really great and lucky!

Well from someone who is a regular vivid dreamer. I would have to say it is unlikely. Sometimes reality can be confusing awaking from an intense dream. Maybe you can take your desire to help others into the real world. The satisfaction would be much more fulfilling.

You sound like a very compassionate person, and I truly believe these dreams reflect your desire to help people.  You ask, is it really helping them?  Have you seen evidence of this?  This is one of those questions no one can really answer for you.  Only you can say whether the people you have helped in your dreams, when you know them, seem better after the experience.  I don't want to dampen your positive helpful attitude with my personal beliefs, but I will say that your family is being helped and comforted just having someone who cares for them so much.

there is healing taking place. Even offering the intent to heal brings forth positive energy. Can it be for a specific person in your dream, Yes. Is it always, no.

Sometimes they can see the guide and sometimes they don't. Don't fool yourself into thinking that just because they don't register an impression to you that they are not seeing and feeling exactly what you expect them to.

This can be important in future work. Don't always assume that what you are doing or witnessing is anonymous. Sometimes they know who you are and what you are about. Keep that in mind, should you decide to take some hypnagogic forays into someone's mind.

I'm reading a book now called 10,000 Dreams Interpreted by Gustavus HIndman Miller. In his book, he has a theory that the subconscious mind has a way to live out the future in your dreams. It's not magic, it's kind of $like an elevated sense of instinct in every living being. It's not direct, but it's an interpretatio of the future. It's a good book, take a look at it.

I kind of know what you're talking about. Sometimes your dreams feel more real than when you are awake.

I have sometimes had dreams that something was happening to a loved one, and later that week something did. So I take it seriously when I dream something really vivid. I try to help when I can by warning the person if there seems to be danger, or if it´s another kind of problem, I try to help them with it. I guess these dreams are like revelations. I do believe they are real, like prophetic, and if you have these they are a gift. Use it wisely, to help others, and especially, pray for them.
