  1. I don't think it is wrong, but I didn't do it.  My entire family and my husband's family bug us all the time about not piercing her ears but we decided she can have them before she starts school, if she wants them.

  2. no..my daughter got her ears pierced when she was 3 months..i would not let my husband take her at first i felt bad that i was taking her somewhere knowing she was going to get hurt..but she did not even cry and they will not remember..it is a parents choice my daughter is mexican so it was kind of a given lol most mexicans do it as early as possible..but i do not think it is wrong hence why i did it

  3. i dont think its wrong...parent's choice!!

  4. yes.  what if she doesn't want her ears pierced?  it should be up to the child.  if they want to make sure people know she's a girl (a common reason for piercing) put a bow in her hair or dress her in pink.

  5. I personally wouldn't do it to my child, but I don't consider it wrong when other people do it, I think babies with earrings are adorable! I just wouldn't want to worry about infection or anything like that, I think I would wait until my child understood what was going on and understood not to pull on them or touch them.

  6. I don't think it's wrong, but I'm going to wait until my daughter asks for earrings.  I had mine done when I was 10 and it's a very special memory for me.

  7. No.  It is their choice.  I wouldn't do it, though.

  8. not really wrong .. parents decision but I would worry about infection and I know I cannot sleep in earings at all. they poke my head so I couldn't try to make my baby go through that discomfort. I certainly don't need any reason for the baby to not sleep! LOL!

I will wait till my daughter asks for it... but not give it to her right away ... she will appreciate it more. 10 is a good age.

  9. I would never get my babies ears done, but Im not going to frown upon anyone who does.  Some cultures/traditions and everything do get the ears pierced at a young age.  Who am I to tell them that they are wrong....

  10. yes, they shoould be at least 1 or 2, honestly! y does an infant need earings?? ...

  11. absolutely not. But its your won choice. I pierced my daughters and they are so cute. When she was about 18 months she decided she didnt want to wear them any more so i didnt force her to. I would put them in about once a month though so her ears wouldnt close up and this last time she had decided to keep them in. So i say go for it!

  12. i think that it is your choice.. it is a tradition in ,my family to get all of the girls ears pierced with italian gold hoop earings.. this is done at 6 months old.. good luck. please best answer me!

  13. Good question!

I had 3 boys first.  If you would  have asked me then, I would have told you it was totally wrong and awful to do that to your child.

My 4th child is  a very  sweet little girl.  Even with as strongly as I felt before I had her, I started to wonder if I wanted to get hers pierced!  It's just so "girly" and cute.  After consideration I decided to wait and let her make that decision on her own when she is old enough.  I will take her with no fuss as soon as  she asks for it.  I just figured that they are her ears...I will let her decide if she wants them pierced.  I will just stick to putting her in cute little dresses and putting bows  in her hair instead!

    Best  of  luck to you!

  14. Here is a good article on the subject:

I personally won't do it because there are sooooo many things to worry about with a child that I don't want to add one more possible worry (infections, etc)!

  15. it's not wrong but knowing how sensitive I am to see my baby go through any kind of pain I would definitely not succumb her to any additional pain until she's older...

  16. no but i wouldnt it would be aggravating id wait until theyre older
