  1. Then I guess we would have to start banning alcoholics from bars.   But that makes too much sense.

Saving people from themselves isn't very sensitive.

Soon restaurants will have disclaimers at the door to protect themselves from getting sued for over serving fat people.

As a libertarian, I think people should be able to do whatever they want to their bodies, as long as SS and Medicare[you and I] aren't charged or fatasses heart pills the rest of his/her life.

  2. Um Yes...who thinks they should be banned?

This is a common sense question. Everyone has the right to eat what they want it is their choice. People also have the choice to be obese or not. There will always be obese people there is no way everyone can be thin. Its just the way it is.

  3. No, What if its a vegan resturaunt? Should they still be banned? They have to eat too. It dosent matter if you are fat skinny or in the middle if dont eat you will die.

  4. thats ****** up why would anyone wanna do that in the first place.

  5. Yes, for the same reason it's wrong to ban black people or white people, or asians, or smart people, or stupid people, or men, or women, or g**s, or jews, or arabs or any other type of human being that can fit into some kind of category.

  6. Why would you ask such a stupid question?  Do you think that stupid people shouldn't be allowed out in public?  Do you think that men are better than women?  It's a question that you should already know the answer to and if you don't you weren't raised right.

  7. Yes, it's wrong because it's something we call discrimination

  8. lmao lmao thats funny well...... it is because we really dont kno the person we are banning all we would kno is that they are obese not why or what their atitude is.. Otherwise i would say yea not like they need it.  If they were making no effort at all to lose weight than we shood but they do and will pay well

  9. Who is banning obese people?  Did you say restaurants?  I don't think so, hon.  They would be hammered with law suits for discrimination.  So it is not a matter of if it is "wrong"..it is a matter of it is illegal. And if you think I misused the word "illegal"..talk to some of the restaurants like "Denny's" and "Cracker Barrel"  and they will tell you how much it cost them and how "illegal" it is.

  10. i don't think it's right to ban obese people from restaurants.they are humans just like every one else

  11. h**l yea! They are the biggest customers, and that's just plain rude!!

  12. MOney is money and fat chubs gotta eat too.

  13. I think it is wrong; it seems entirely unconstitutional to ban people from public places because they are fat.  Also it is the person's choice to eat what they want.

  14. For those of you who haven't heard...this is what the question is regarding:

JACKSON, Miss. - A state lawmaker has proposed a ban on restaurant service to obese customers.

"I was trying to shed a little light on the No. 1 problem in Mississippi," said Republican Rep. John Read, who acknowledges that at 5 feet 11 inches and 230 pounds, he'd probably have a tough time under his own bill. He also says he doesn't expect it to become law.

Good bet. The state House Public Health Committee chairman, Democrat Steve Holland, said he is going to "shred" the legislation.

The bill has no specifics about how obesity would be defined.

  15. yes, because they generate lots of money

  16. That is ridiculous, everyone has a right to be how they want to be and eat what they want. Therefore they should have the rights as any other people. They are no different, you cant go around banning people on the way they look or act!!

  17. First off Pheobe Katie I surley hope your kidding even obese people have to eat something or guess what they will die. And of course it is wrong to ban obese people from restaurants. It's discrimination. You would have riots on the streets if you said no black or whites could eat at your restaurant. Being overweight is one discrimination that we pretty much tolerate.

  18. And turn away the best customers?!?!?!?  Makes no sense at all.  Maybe anorexics...there must be a 3 serving minimum requirement in that case.

  19. Only if its Rosie O'Donnel

  20. hahahhahaha thats hysterical. i do get annoyed at fat people but thats not right.  they can make their own decisions and if they want to be on the fast track to 6 feet under, be my guest. personnaly i think if were going to take that kind of leap in anti obesity, how about we stop pumping out sugar on a stick as a snack??  go green, organic, THEN ban the obese people

  21. Yes, they'll probably eat more at home where they aren't shamed into stopping by people looking!! Plus restaurant owners probably make the most money from this group. No offence intended, I'm just telling the truth as I see it. I am ignorant tho so inform me!! God this is terrible, I know I'm gonna get reported for giving an honest and non-offencive answer! Here goes anyway!!!

  22. thats just horrible. they would be the best customers anyway.

    no offense !

  23. of course it is, why would anyone even do that, everyone is equal and everyone has the same rights.

  24. YES i think it is wrong because everyone is different and besides this is the united states of america ( you know the free country that we live in) we have a right to eat what we want! by the way i am not obese but i dont think it is right to bann anyone from a restaurants.

  25. yea.. it makes no sense they could just get fast food or order take out.

  26. It will never happen it will be tied up in court so Long their grand children's children would never see it resolved. It is unconstitutional and wrong.

  27. i say its completely wrong to ban people from a good restaurant just because they are really fat. I say its more business. the more they order, the more they pay and thats more money in the owners wallet. they dont realize that. they are basically losing a lot of money. and its just plain discrimination. they are racist to fat people. i am against any said ban.

  28. thats soo mean!

No it bring them more money ....

    Helllo

  29. No I don't think it is. Never heard of it before but maybe we should. Its not being rude its being realistic. Food can be an addiction! Everyone would agree we should ban alcoholics from bars Just because its legal doesn't make it right. If the restaurants want to be part of the solution thats great. They are saying hey you have a problem you need help. I don't have a problem with discriminating against obese people simply because they don't have to be that way. Its not a permanent condition. They can do something about it

  30. yes and no. One it depends on how much they eat.If they eat a lot or a little. The second is tied into the first. If they eat a lot and are at a resturaunt were you have to buy each individual course well im sure the resturaunt would welcomt them in with open arms but if its an all you can eat buffet for 1.99$ and they eat for 4 hours then yes i beleive the resturaunt has that right

  31. yes, because that is discrimination

and for some obese people it is a disease, and not their fault
