There was an early morning raid in a Houston company where 160 illegal immigrants were arrested. 60 of them were women that were pregnant or underage. Do you think it is right to arrest a pregnant woman or mother if she is illegal? For more information please read:

  1. No it is not wrong. What's wrong is ignoring the REASON she's in a US jail.

  2. What a question. Of course it is !

  3. No. I think her deportation should be sped up so she can give birth in her own country.  People who have kids should be extra careful not to break laws.  Any misery that is brought onto their children is their own fault.

  4. No I don't think jailing any person that breaks the law is wrong.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time

  5. They should all be deported. You can bet citizens are footing the bill for these people that dont have enough sence to stop having babies they cant afford.

Heres some information WITH references to look it up. The people that thumb this info down are either illegal themselves, know one or are doing one. That is the only explanation. Good luck with your project!

  6. It is RIGHT to put people breaking the law into the criminal justice system. It is also GOOD to do that.

  7. Good, I'm glad to hear that. They're outlaws and in some twisted way most of them probably thought they'd be shown mercy if they got pregnant. I mean think about it, illegals GET pregnant deliberately just because they think it'll help when they're caught. That's even MORE wrong.

If she's a mother then she's a very irresponsible and unsuitable one, for taking her child to a place where they neither belong nor can legally live. How is it the establishments' fault, and why should they at all be to blame for what the illegals do? If they drew the line there, then EVERY illegal immigrant would simply get pregnant knowing they would be permitted to stay.

  8. it's their d**n fault for trying to come up here illegally.  maybe they should of thought about the consequences before putting their child in danger.

  9. While it is indeed sad to separate families, I do not believe it is wrong to jail an illegal.

Those who do come into this country illegally are telling us that they are morally and ethically not trustworthy, and they have broken the law and should not be here.

Hence - jail and quick deportation. She can then give birth back in her own country.

  10. Although I am not anti-illegal, there are laws that we are all governed by.  I think that people who come into this country without having proper documentation know what they are risking.  They know that they can be caught at any time, pregnant or not. So is it wrong? No, but it does suck.  You can use your logic and apply it to breaking other laws, like lets say there is a pregnant bank robber.  Should she not be punished just because she is pregnant?  Duh.

  11. No, it's not wrong.  They put mothers, fathers and grandparents in jail every day in this country for breaking the law.

  12. It is morally wrong to treat people differently based on where they were born or where they have citizenship.

However, we do it because we are selfish and we do not want to share the bounty of the land we took from the Indians with other people who came here after we did.

  13. No,she's a criminal, put her in jail. If a pregnant woman or a mother who is a citizen commits a crime they go to jail and serve their time, they don't get any special breaks so why should the illegals?

  14. Absolutely not. If they are in this country illegally they are breaking the law. No exceptions.

  15. Yes.

Don't break the law.  Don't diss the United States.  Don't lie to us about your circumstances.

The fact is, the People of the United States want to help the people of Mexico.  The way to do that is NOT... is NOT for the Mexican People to come to this country and take jobs from the American People.  And while you are taking jobs from the American People you are destroying the wage rate to boot, and in the end, you will destroy the very thing you want to have.

Mexico has the potential to be a great country.  Go home and force your government to get rid of the corruption and dope.. and you will be far, far better off.

  16. YES.

They know they are breaking the law, but still they play  the sympathy card, well %^#@** them, my sympathy is with the hard working American born citizens who work their @sses off and cannot afford to take out health insurance for themselves and their family's, oh but they pay for the health insurance for every ILLEAGLE who happens to wander across the border, PLEEEEEZE put a sock in it.

  17. whether she is a mother or not she IS illeagal. she should not have put her future children or current children is that type of situation.

  18. Does somehow being pregnant or underage make a person immune from arrest for breaking the law?  As the old TV cop used to say, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."

  19. Not wrong at all.........Please feel free to google the word "illegal" .

  20. I think it is wrong to put any illegal immigrants in jail as immigration should not be illegal.

  21. You bet I think she should go to jail.

They KNOW they run the risk of getting caught and still do it, all the while dragging children into it. Selfish.

  22. When did being a mother make you exempt from Federal Law?  I am a father, can I go out and steal from my neighbors?

  23. Well, if they broke a law, then yes.  Is it fair to illegal immigrants, who are men, that they can be jailed for breaking the law when they don't have the same opportunity to use the pregnancy excuse?  The law is the law.  If you enter the country illegally and don't want to go to jail because you are pregnant, use birth control.

  24. If a female, pregnant,or underage American was illegal immigrant in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.Dont you think they would be put in jail,so why should Americans treat illegals any better? Why is it that the world hates Americans, yet we are supposed to kiss their a$$es when they break our laws?

  25. No, it's not wrong..  Illegal is illegal.  If you break the law, you should consider your family situation first, cuz if caught you will get no special consideration for being a parent.

  26. I don't think its wrong to put any one in jail for committing any crime.  So, no.  illegal means breaking the law!

  27. No, it is not wrong. The pregnancy does not negate the fact that she is in this country illegaly.

  28. The way that we treat immigrants, illegal and legal, in this country is horrifying and unconscionable. If you are not a legal citizen you have no rights whatsoever. This means that they can detain you and keep you as long as they want for any reason, LEGALLY, because you are not a citizen. The conditions that Immigration keeps children in and sick people is inhumane. People die in custody without access to healthcare or at least being sent back to their own country so that they can get help and you RARELY hear about it. The INS does unspeakable things like ripping babies from their mothers, placing the babies (who are legally citizens) in foster care, and deporting the mothers. And they can because the mother has no legal rights because she is not a citizen. The way children in custody are treated would be illegal and prosecutable if it was an American child. It would considered abuse. They are denied access to many things.

So the question you must ask yourself how you feel about human beings in general. Are you someone who REALLY believes that all human beings should be treated equally or well? Because our country does not have a great track record of that despite the words of our founders. We have in the past said, yes all men are equal, but JUST men. Then we said all men and woman should have equal rights under the law, but not if you are BLACK. So, should all people be treated equal but not if  YOU ARE NOT BORN HERE?

U.S. citizens would not be treated this way. The community as a whole would not allow it. There would be news reports and a public outcry. But because they are not citizens we would allow pregnant women and minors in jail when they have done nothing to hurt anyone else? It is done only because we discriminate against anyone who is not US. It's discrimination. It isn't humane. I, for one, refuse to support this. I will not discriminate against someone just because they were not born on the same soil. The question you have to ask yourself is DO YOU?

And an even bigger point that you might consider: Most people don't realize that with the Patriot Act that their own rights have been potentially stripped away. All the government has to do is declare you a possible danger to the country and your rights are gone. They can hold you as long as they want without furnishing the usual proof and having to release you as they would have to normally. What is to prevent the government from doing this and then using that as leverage to compel them for various reasons?
