  1. mccain certainly would never defend biden in the same cirumstances.

  2. i dont think he defended them...he just wants the reps to leave his kids and wife alone..he let it go on for days before saying anything about it..at least you think he has ethics..personally i dont

  3. Obama always does this.

His machine starts the damage, then he pleads mea non culpa.

    Bullshit.

  4. I was not surprised he spoke up...he knows if this continues then there would be controversial things brought up about his family...beyond his wife and kids...and the real issues would get lost and become insignificant.

Why even people here go off on a tirade about ones family is beyond me.

  5. Well its good he said it, but it was also called for.

What else was he going to do? Ignore it? Cheer it? All would.

I think he meant it too, but no reason to applaud him for it. Everyone should follow him, not applaud him on this one.

  6. He was using Good Common Sense....You DON'T mess with Peoples CHILDREN,(Dem nor Repub)! NOW I wish the rest of YOU would follow Suit!  LEAVE IT ALONE!

  7. Obama is intelligent enough to know that not denouncing some of the actions of his supporters, would hurt his campaign. And in fact, they are hurting his campaign. This Palin thing is taking attention away from Obama at a crucial time, even if it's controversial and sensationalist. I don't believe that the Democrat party can one up the Republican party on matters like this. I was a former Democrat, so I know what the liberal mentality is like. Republicans are usually a few steps ahead by the time Democrats realize they're being played.

  8. Well considering the fact that he really couldn't pitch much of a stink about it,Without shedding some light to his own personal story.

I'd say it was very smart on his part to do so.

  9. has more class in his little pinky than mccain has in his hole body if u ask me

  10. YES--but then Obama/Biden are nothing but class!!!

  11. I agree totally.  I thought it was a very classy thing to do.  I also thought McCain spending his own campaign money to congratulate Obama during  the DNC was an equally classy thing to do.  I wish  their supporters, on both sides, would follow their leads and not turn this election into a mud fest.

  12. Or it could be that Obama's own mother was an unwed teenager when she got pregnant with him.

  13. He also said that we would fire anyone in his campaign that went after peoples kids. I only wish his cult followers would listen.

  14. No, just another way to put his face in the news, it was his people who were digging into Palin's family in the first place, which caused her to release the info before the Obama camp did.

Look at Obama's family, they are just as dysfunctional as everyone else's, so it's in his best interest not to have people reporting on family.

  15. Classy, but dumb. Republicans will give no quarter when it comes to political attacks. This is why Clinton needed Carville in 92. Democrats are the white hats, but the bad guys are willing to do anything, and have been since they got rid of Rockefeller in the 60s.

  16. yes I do as well . I'm not a Obama supporter ether

  17. Yes.  Sarah Palin actually handled her family situation very well, and it would do his campaign no good whatsoever by making it an issue.

Now to attack her for smearing the Alaskan wilderness with crude oil - that is quite another matter!

  18. It would be hypocritical of Obama not to defend Palin considering his mother was in a similar situation as her daughter when she conceived him.

  19. yes it was classy, don't forget, it is republicans whose platform consists of wagging their fingers in people's faces in situations like this

  20. I thought it was a good gesture. I too think he is too inexperienced to be President, but I may still vote for him. I would only do so for Supreme Court nominees. I do not like the idea of women not being able to choose what is right for them. What is right for some is not right for all, but in our secular society protecting their rights is a must or next time it may be yours that get stamped out.

Security is important, but what makes our country so unique isn't security it is freedoms and liberties.  I think that is job 1.

  21. Yes.  His "supporters", on the other hand, don't seem to care.  Yet further proof they don't hear a d*mn word he says.

  22. Obama did the right thing to stop this c**p from the extreme left. Also he to does not want his family to be smeared.  THE families Of Obama or Mc Cain  are off limits.  ALSO TO everyone to stop these insane questions on here We all need to stop answering their Stupid hateful nasty questions. This has got to stop. Its really that simple just do not answer questions you know that are hateful or towards Mc Cain /Palin or Obama / Biden. If you agree pass it along.
