  1. No!!  if it is a dog that you dont no  like from a kennels or sumting den no  but if you no some one that has had this dog before then yer maybe

but they can really nasty dogs

  2. yes if it is properly to handle. if it is rough i reccemend keeping them seperated unless on leash.

  3. I would ask others you know who may have had that breed of dog before.  Oftentimes very large dogs do very well with small children.  Also, if you can "borrow" the dog for a couple of days before you commit and then you can see for yourself if it is going to work with your kids.

  4. my first question would be was it raised w/ babies , and children.  not singular , but a few. if the answer is yes, then you can start thinking about it, and the list of other characteristics it has. I'm only telling you what i would do, being that animals don't think like humans. if i brought a grown dog into my home, it would need to be a retired service/working dog , (example) search rescue, dog guide, narcotics and so on. my daughter is number one, to take a chance or question, isn't something i would chance.

  5. I think you should get a puppy instead. Sometimes full grown dogs don't like kids.

  6. My question is where are you? A huskie anywhere south of I'd say Ohio would be a miserable dog in the summer. As for bringing it home to small children really depends on the dogs temper. Is it tolernt or does it even like kids? You would have to bring it home and watch it very carefully for a while to see how it acted first.

  7. i suggest you get a puppie of whatever breed you want so that you can tell its temperament and then you dont have to worry about the dog not getting along well with kids as much

  8. Not all huskies are tolerant of children.  Mine was fantastic, but I've seen others that did not tolerate children or other pets.  Best bet is to check out it's temperament and find out what the owners know of the dog's behavior.  They're usually very sweet and obedient dogs, but like any pet, the way they have been raised makes that determination.

One thing about huskies....there are magnificent escape artists and are prone to wander.  You must have a fenced yard at the very least.  There's no catching them if they get out.  They come back when THEY want to.
