It's a great trade for you. Rivers is surrounded by better players than Kitna and he has a better offensive line so he's going to have more time to throw and he'll worry less about being sacked compared to Kitna.

it would be a great trade. i'm looking forward to a breakout season from philip rivers. the receiving corps is there for him, now he has to shut up and perform. jon kitna is going to be injured this year, i know it. the guy always gets sacked behind that weak offensive line of the lions. plus mike martz went to the niners, so the detroit offense takes a blow.

i would go for the trade then try to re-trade Rivers for someone else like an E. Manning or Cutler, SD will always pound away with LT, Rivers will have only about 20 pass TD's and 3000yards on the year, I like Cutler's development in Bronco land, look for a breakout season 25+ td's 3500+ passing yards.

they're about equal. rivers is on a better team, but will probably lose TD passes to LT.
