I know it is going to be very loud should this stop me? My father in law wants to take a pillow and put it around my tummy do you think that is necessary?

  1. What happens to you when you put your hands over your ears at the drag races?  You probably still hear what's going on, but it is very muffled and certainly not so loud that it hurts.  How does the world sound when you are swimming under water?

Now, imagine your little baby, surrounded by amniotic fluid, uterine muscle, abdominal muscle, and fat.  The baby's going to hear some muffled noise, but will not be able to really make out what's going on, let alone be hurt by the noise.

If you're worried, take a seat farther away from the cars.  But, honestly, you're going to be just fine going.  My brother races cars and I went to a few races this summer.  My baby never seemed to be bothered.  She napped and kicked just like usual!

  2. i wouldnt take a chance !

those cars always spin out of control :/

i lost my cousin like that ! :/

  3. Are you going to be driving in the race?  Well duh, then why wouldn't it be alright?  I'd keep your father in law away from the baby, stupid rubs off!

  4. Perfectly fine.  Take hearing protection for you.  The actual races aren't that long and shouldn't really make that big of a difference to him/her except they may get more active after hearing it.

  5. It would be fine.  My doctor said that I could go shooting at that far a long in my pregnancy as long as I only shot for about 30 minutes.  God BLess!

  6. Guess it depends upon you really, if you are stressed out about it, your body will than pass the stress along, you could be stressed out resting on the beach and it not be good for your baby. So just be at ease of mind with your descision and of course use common sense when it comes to if its harmfull to you its probally harmfull to your baby somehow.

  7. no.  its not a good idea for the baby and not to mention you to be in that environmnet in such a fragile state.

  8. Its really up to you, inside your stomach the sound will be muffled so it wont be so loud for your baby, I'm sure it wont hurt it... if your having second thoughts about it then you shouldn't go, but I don't see any harm in it, I went to lots of tractor pulls, mud slings, and drag races while I was pregnant and the doctor said it would be fine... I don't think a pillow is necessary.

  9. No, This would cause your baby enormous stress and may cause you to deliver too early.

  10. as long as youa are not in the car. people go to concerts pregnant that is usually louder

  11. No I will not be ok for a pregnant lady to go to the drag races.

The noise is too loud. The environment is too disturbing. You will get too excited. All these will disturb your baby. The baby can feel everything you are feeling. Pillow on the tummy will not help because the baby will still be exposed to all your internal feelings through you.

Baby inside is wayyyyyy more preciouse than anything.

Strongly against this. Not a very wise place for a mommy-to-be to be.
