Do you think it wrong for a sister to ...

Question

My oldest sister is close and we talk a lot together. However, when my other sisters put me down. She does not say anything but ignores it. Do you think that is right?

I remain silent because I have always been put down by my family. I used to argue with them but they have not changed.This has happened since I was young.

I partially agree with Skittles. Your big sister could be waiting for you to stand up against your other siblings.

She could also be afraid that they will attack her as well.

Whatever her reasons are, do not hold it against her.

She is the one sibling that does not demean you, so you know that she does love you.

Since they all gang up on you...perhaps you could write each one a letter and say everything you would like to get off of your chest. That way you can express yourself without interruption or without being ganged up on.

Let me start by saying that even though you call me names and talk bad to me and about me, I still love you.

I want you to know that your words hurt my feelings and it needs to stop.

Talking negatively about me won't make you better than me. We come from the same place :)

If it is not your intention to seek self-worth through belittling me...then think before you speak.

Understand that family is supposed to stand up for eachother & not against eachother.

I want to have a better relationship with you, but unless the negativity stops...I fear that I will have to distance myself from you even further.

If you have nothing nice to say...say nothing at all.

I'm an older sister and this is how i see it: Your oldest sister really loves you, but at the same time, she loves all of her little sisters. Perhaps she doesn't want to defend you, but wants you to defend yourself. At the same time, she's trying hard to stay on the good side of all of you. Don't doubt your sister. Instead, show her that you'll be okay and stand up for yourself.

You say it's your younger sisters? Sweetie, stand up and fight back!

if you two are so close then she should stand up for you. and love is important. it shouldnt matter what the problem is she should stand up for you.
