  1. It is weird but I have alot of people who do that. My mom will call me up and be like hey whats my baby doing? I dont think they actually mean it as Their baby but more as their favorite baby to see and spoil

  2. you are so lucky to have a mil like that, i am a gramma also, to a soon to be 5 year old and even though her mother is my daughter, that little girl is still my baby, and always will be , it's a granmma thing, i always respect my daughter because she is mommy but she does come to me for advice and sometimes she takes it and sometimes she doesn't, and that's ok, but we call them our babies, because let me tell you i would fight to the death litteraly to protect her,  like i would have her mother, NO WORRIES, YOUR MIL IS HAPPY AND PROTECTIVE OF YOU AND HER PRECIOUS BABY,  believe me she can be your bigggest asset and alley in helping you but you are mama congratuations on having a mil like this, it is not unusual or weird i personally don't know of a gramma who doesn't refer to them as their babies, you are in for a heck of a ride and there are times when she will be able to help you when you least expect it, there is nothing more loving or protective than a mama or a granmma, you will be fine

  3. No...she probably means her grand baby.  When my niece comes to see me...I say come here my sweet baby.  I don't mean it that she is mine...but that I love her with all of my heart as though she was mine.  Don't worry.  Unless you think there is some reason to. I know I was never afraid of anything, but after I became pregnant...I was always on the guard for my baby.  Then he was born.  Watch out.  I was wanting to kick this guys butt for just walking on the same side of the street as me while I was pushing my baby in the stroller.  I kept thinking...He might try and steal my baby when he walks by.  Of course the man passed by without even looking at us.  I knew right then that I was crazy!!! LOL!!!  I think it's Mommy hormones in our systems.  I am still protective...but in the right way.  Congrats to you with the new baby on the way!  Good luck to you and your family!

  4. Momatad I wish you were my mother inlaw. Prozacna listen to Momatad she knows what shes talking about. Unfortunately my mother and sister inlaw tried to shut me out and the sad part is it took me 4yrs and constant arguing with my husband to speak up because i wanted to be a good daughter inlaw and I didnt want to hurt there feelings. I wish I would have spoken up earlier

  5. what's wrong with that?  that's sweet that she is looking forward to her grandbaby.

  6. You're hormonal, she's overtly excited.  Let it lay.  Wait until the baby is born, then and ONLY then, if she wants to lay claim to the baby and shut you out, tell her to butt out the baby is yours.
