Do you think its bad for girls to play rugby?

i play rugby and i have since i was 8 i play at a high standard and people keep telling me i shouldn't play because its bad for girls to play but i do not act like a boy as i enjoy shoe shopping and other femane sports.

PUT IT THIS WAY I'D RATHER GET HIT BY A SHEILA ON A RUGBY FEILD RATHER THAN ON A 18 WHEELER,,,,,,,,WHERE DO YOU GET THESE REDICULES QUESTIONS FROM  POW,,,,,IF A FEMALE WANTS TO PLAY WHAT SHE LOVES THEN SHE CAN PLAY WHATEVA SHE WANTS TO PLAY THEN GOOD ON HER. OTHERS MIGHT HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS.  


  2. Of course it's not bad. It keeps you fit and gives you regular exercise and if you've been playing it since you were 8, you obviously enjoy it.

  5. NO! I think it says something about sexism in our culture if it is considered "out of place" for a girl to be playing a tough contact sport. Unfortunately, the success of women's sports lies on what men think is "s**y" like tennis and beach volleyball. Don't listen to them! If you truly love the game, try surrounding yourself with other girls who also like rugby, and stick with it! You can do it!

  6. No way. I used to play rugby with a girl at my old club in Brackley, and she was one of the best tacklers on the team. If you like rugby then play it. It doesn't matter about what other people think, just do it and enjoy it!!!

  7.   No I know a lot of good looking girls who play rugby its kl. I guess you worry about not getting to big (you may look butch) if you want to be especially femanine. But no rugby is a quality sport enjoy it :).

  8. keep playing rugby. dont listen to other people. they are just narrow minded people who think that all sports are stereotyped by gender.

    There a lot of other females that are into boxing, bmx riding, golf, surfing, wrestling, football soccer-just look at the Olympics and see how great these females athletes are at football.

Gosh No!!  I think it's fabulous girls playing rugby.  I know a lot of girls who play rugby.  One of my best friends plays rugby, and I go and watch her play all the time.  It's great.  My Aunty plays Womens rugby in NZ, and she loves it.  It's all about having fun and enjoying what you're doing.  If anyone thinks differently, then that's their problem.  

  10. no way, nz chicks r the best at it! they prob get told that evry day "ahhh rugby ait he game 4 chicks", but what do they do, they dnt give a stuff & continue on with what they've loved doing probably since they learnt 2 walk.......so u go 4 it who gives a stuff about what people say

  11. No! Girls who play rugby are awesome! Rugby is so much fun (way better than football) and not just for boys.
