Do you think its fair 2 teams that end in a draw after 80mins, play extra time to try determine a winner?

Personally they have killed the spirit of Rugby League by introducing Golden Point extra time, bring back the draws I say.

there is an argument for both sides really!

on one hand you have the fans 2 consider...... they go to a game and want to see a result....... on the other hand......i have seen games were the better team on the night loses because of golden point...... just because the team thats  not playing well has a bloke that can pot a field goal from 50meters out.

i have been saying this for 5 or 6 years now...... we had a great game for 90 odd years why go and change and add rules! theres no need to fix something thats not broken!!!!!

The players have to back up for their clubs, some of them the next day so playing Golden point they would've been stuffed.

sorry to all americans reading this, but winning is such an american thing.

every single sport except for ammerican football, basketball i.e all sports played by americans has a no draw rule.

i enjoy a draw.

i hate it when things are won by penalties - ie champions league, world cup etc. in soccer.

and draws in rugby league and afl are usually the most exciting.

so i say bring it back :)

I have always thought that ending a game in a draw and then going home empty handed is way too cruel. This is especially true when you consider that the team that lost out may have been involved in a top of the ladder clash whilst some other team may have been flogged by 50 and both end up in the same boat - zero points.

If the golden point rule is to stay then give the loser at least the point. Personally a draw as it use to be is what I would like to see.

Are you guys serious? Bring back the draws? Theres nothing worse than going to a football game and the game ends up as a draw, what message does that send out to the fans? THEY DONT WANT TO SEE DRAWS, they want to see wins, even if their team loses, its a lot better than being left in blank from a draw, not only that but players also agreed to it.

i guess you guys would know if you ACTUALLY attended a football game for once in your lives lol

why not get rid of golden point and introduce a rule that makes a draw no points, for either team.  I reckon there would be a lot less draws, and some very exciting football in the last ten minutes of close  games.

just watch the players find an extra drop of energy to make the last ditch tackle of break the line to score a try.

I love the draw. Extra time for semi's only.

It's frustrating being a supporter of a team who gets beaten in extra time. They have played 80 minutes and the teams have been unable to be seperated. They both deserve a point each.

I have been lucky this year. I support the Knights we have been involved in two extra time games. (won 1, lost 1). I would be pissed off it we had lost both.

I think they should play extra time until someone wins, but the looser should still get 1 point as they would in a draw.

I say bring back the draws too... yeah we all want a result one way or the other and when a game goes into golden point we're all on the edge of our seats but if two teams play well enough to end in a draw, then so be it...

i absolutely loathe the draw. every one that ive watched or played in leaves such an empty feeling.

however i do think that it should be a golden try rather than watching a field goal shootout or penalty attempt.

Who wants to see boring old draws?? my team has been on both sides off golden point and i wouldnt change a thing...  Just look at NHL... they added 5 mins of O/T and then it goes to a shootout... Fans luv it!!! its just added excitement to an already great game...

PS. In NHL if teams make it to OT or shootout the winner gets 2 points and the loser gets a point, perhaps an idea for NRL to look at...
