Also on the 2008 Olympic team are Chris Bosh (Toronto Raptors), Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Chris Paul (New Orleans Hornets), Tayshaun Prince (Detroit Pistons), Michael Redd (Milwaukee Bucks) and Deron Williams (Utah Jazz).

and those are just some of them do not forget jason kidd lebron james dwight howard allen iverson dwanye wade and much much more if u look at their game recently against canada it was more a massacre than a friendly game face it im not hating on the americans o rsomething im just saying its physically impossible to beat them they have nba's finest on their team and what do other countries have....**** all mayby they have one or two nba players but not like the americans do u feel its fair that they should b in the olympics or not i know they have a right but there has to be rights to a certain degree and face it if americas in it theres no point in cheering at all for ur team cuz they are just gonna lose bad to the americans

  1. Well they used to be but know I think that they have good competition on their hand  know. Look what happened the last olympic games,

    scary!!

  2. Well if you believe that then Brazil shouldn't be able to use all of their players in soccer, or Canada in hockey, or even Kenya in marathons.  Give me a break man.

  3. I think it's just fair enough to the American team. It's not their fault if they're good in basketball. It's just like in any other sport that other countries dominates. It's just so happened that Americans are good in basketball. I love basketball and I'm thankful that USA team is around to give a great show. I'm very sure they will.

  4. yeah, the US is going to be really good, and is favored to win the gold, but, believe me, you WILL be surprised by the competition that they face. the other teams are very good too. there will be some very close games

  5. Someone said other countries shouldn't be able to use their stars, then, either. Perfect point. I agree wholeheartedly.

Also, Spain's roster has lots of NBA players and every country basically has pro players...some in the Euro's, some in the NBA. But they're all pro's.

Finally, the US is playing by FIBA rules...not NBA rules. Smaller courts, smaller three's, faster game...Spain's going to win the tournament...US may have all the player's you've heard of, but Spain is loaded.

I'm American and hope we win, but I have my doubts. I really think Spain is going to win.
