  1. Do you think it is fair to force others into slavery to pay for someone else's medical care?

Which isn't to say charity isn't good, just that it is voluntary.

  2. No only is it unfair, but it is against the Medical Code of Ethics, but apparently its the hippocritic code not the Hippocratic code

  3. That is a pretty open-ended question there. Yes, I would be against someone abusing the medical facility as a place to get out of the heat because they have no home, or they just want to get something to eat. Yes, people do this. I am against refusing someone medical attention if they really needed it. Colds and headaches do not fall under this category. Medical attention is needed for many reasons. To enable someone to live a happy and healthy life would be one. To keep diseases and epidemics to a minimum would be another. Who do you propose should pay for the indigent to get care?

  4. Ultimately, human life comes first, before all else.  From that, you can derive that refusing to treat someone who is in a life-threatening situation is a crime.

  5. No it is not.  That is private medical however, your health is not important...  The bottom line is.

  6. You only need to be stabilized to be moved to another hospital from an ER if you haven't got insurance, they don't have to keep you, or make you well, or even accept the ambulance.

I don't think its fair, and I don't think it makes sense to force people to wait for an emergency to get care.

Its actually more expensive this way.

Most people don't have anywhere near enough in saving to deal with even a common injury.

My grandson broke an arm and the ER visit was $5,000 dollars, and that wasn't including follow up visits and xrays, or rehabilitation.

You have $10,000 spare dollars in your account?

What if your other child has diabetes?

There is no slavery here, I don't know any broke doctors.

The alternative is leaving the ill to die.

Is that the best we can do?

  7. No, I do not think it is fair.  In an emergency situation they should be taken care of in a timely manner, but I also feel they should be able to pay for the bills incurred.

  8. Do you think its fair that my medical insurance (which costs me more every year) gets charged more than someone who does not have insurance.  Example- Friend uses ER and gets charged $500. I use ER and insurance gets charged $800 of which I am resonsible for $100.  Do you think its fair when someone goes out and spends $22,000 for a new car and then cant/wont but insurance? I drive a 10 year old car and I choose to buy health insurance instead of a new car. There are programs out there that help people recieve health care.

  9. No. But if it is serious go to ER they cannot legally refuse treatment where I live.

  10. Yes.  Physicians should all be slaves.  Owned by the government and required to work without pay.  Also plumbers.  I desparately need a plumber and they all want to be paid.  How unfair is that?

  11. you can't be refused at an emergency room. but if you mean day to day stuff, that is the point of a savings account. to help when you have problems. sort of hard to justify helping someone who can't afford it but have a big screen t.v. and enough for cigs and beer on a daily basis. people need to do all they can to help themselves before they go out and buy cable or satillite or 2000 dollar rims for their suv.

  12. It certainly can be, depending on the circumstances.

  13. You can not be refused medical care.  I was sick for years and my local hospital took care of me for free under the indigent care program.  I also received treatment from local free clinics.  I was never refused medical care.
