Of course.

But that's the hallmark of social conservatism.  Hold the world up to impossible (and unreasonable) moral standards.  Then break them all you like.  

Look at McCain's tirade against lobbyists.  He was part of the Keating-Five scandal.  He was against off-shore drilling before he was for it.  He was against the Bush tax cuts before he was for them.

Palin has the same kind of double-standards.  Look at her positions on earmarks.  

Hypocrisy is all over politics.  Social conservatives have perfected it as an art form.

Just because McCain has adopted a child and Palin has a pregnant teenager doesn't mean that any sort of political question with some vague tie to adoption belongs on this forum.  This question isn't about adoption at all.

Ask it on the Politics forum, where it belongs.

They made up that part about Mother Teresa. She did not play a role in the adoption. But it makes a wonderful story, doesn't it? And how else can they get this wonderful if fictional story told without continually telling us she's adopted?

palin's daughter is "off limits" because she is a middle-class, poster child of the GOP.  bridget, on the other hand, is lucky that the nice americans saved her.

seriously, this whole "choose life, adoption..." c**p is the biggest bunch of spin i've witnessed since a bunch of conservative historians attempted to show how slavery was good for blacks!

i digress.

they are attempting to overshadow the blatant hypocrisy in their "abstinence-only, no s*x" dogma by turning this pregnancy and the adoption  into a statement about LIFE!

sooo....can i now esteem the the pregnant girls in the hood' that everyone is so quick to condemn who CHOSE LIFE ???
