  2. LOL! Just take a carton of milk than start chugging it b4 you pay for it, but seriously i don't see a huge problem. In fact a supermarket i go to called Wegmans (it's big in the north east) has an eat in cafe and it's expected you eat your food and keep your carry out containers with the barcodes on it for when you go thru the checkout. I personally havent opend up a 20oz before i paid for it but if the person intends to then yeah go for it, I worked in a Rite Aid for a little while when i was younger and it didnt really bother me but than again i was a teenager and i used to sell beer to all my underage friends, so who was i to talk?

  3. I do it when I'm really hungry or thirsty. But i'm a pretty honest Jo.... But I love the feeling of freedom when i do it!

  4. I've done it before with water when I have been really really thirsty - but I've always saved the bottle and paid for it anyway - so no I don't think its wrong if you pay for it.

  5. Doing so makes you feel awkward. Also, if someone sees you and reports what you've done, it can be interpreted as stealing...if not legally, morally. This can earn you a bad reputation and cause others to be suspicious of your actions.

  6. not wrong....cos you can save the packet, if you need it then have it      as long as your willing to pay for it...no problem...

  7. if a item is paid for does it matter where it is consumed. At most gas stations people can sit down, eat and it is considered acceptable.

  8. Yes I think it is ok because you are going to pay for it.The stores don't care unless they have signs up stating otherwise.I have ate donuts from the bakery while shopping and just told the cashier I had one and they just charge me for it.No big deal.I have never drank anything though, as all of you have hehe.Do what you want and don't worry what anyone else thinks. It isn't stealing.

  9. I think its ok to do it!

I do it every single time a I go to the super market

  10. it's ok as long as you pay for it before you leave. a lot of moms and dads let their kids eat food before they pay for it to keep their kids quiet and happy while they shop.

  11. I've never actually done it before, but is seems to be the norm as I've seen quite a few people, but mostly babies and toddlers do it! I don't feel too comfortable doing it as I feel it's like stealing since you are consuming the goods without paying for them (though you will eventually).

Sorry to sound so dull, but that's how I think!

  12. hiya, yes Im a guilty party to grabbing juice or water when thirsty walking round a shop then paying for it, as long as u pay then u wont get into bother!

  13. I've been thirsty enough to open a drink before I paid for it but I dont think it's cool to eat food. If you're a diabetic or something and need the sugar, fine, but if you're THAT hungry, eat before you go to the store! Now, small children I can see giving them a cookie or a cracker, it keeps them quiet and if you have kids or shop with kids you understand lol.

It's probably not good manners or proper ettiquette to do either, especially eat food in a store before paying for it but like I said, I'm guilty of opening a coke a time or two myself. I dont know if the stores mind it or not, I cant see why they'd care about a drink as long as you pay for it, but food can be messy sometimes.

  14. No! it is very gauche to do that and it could be considered theft, particularilly if you "forget the package.Eat before you go shopping so you don,t appear as a slob to others

  15. OF COURSE ITS NOT WRONG i do it all the time lol

i will eat like 5 cookies and keep the package and just pay for it at the register lol

anywho they probably like you doing that cuz then their other customers in the store see you eating/drinking it so they will buy it too!

    dont feel bad haha

  16. I get a bottle of water first thing when I walk into the store, I never ever open up a package and eat the food, I pay for my water at check out

  17. Yes, I do, and I always take the packet/bottle to the checkout and pay for it.  Now if you were to eat items that are payed for according to weight, like grapes, then that is wrong because they can't weigh what you have eaten.

  18. I think that is ok as long as you keep the packet/bottle/container and pay at the check out, I have done this loads of times, only drink though.

  19. I think it is stealing, since you have not yet paid for the item. I see tons of discarded wrappers and drinks shoved behind things on shelves so that just goes to show that  a lot of people who do it don't pay for it. Would you think it was ok to try on clothes in a store and then decide to walk around in them until you paid for them and left? I believe the store employees would already have called security by then.
