  1. To use as collateral ?

  2. Circus Circus has a lot of kid friendly activities.

  3. Yes,but some people on the strip next to planet hollywood hand out hooker cards anyway, ive been here and the shows are cool and buffets are delicious, spice market buffet is my favorite

  4. why not? whats wrong there?

  5. No reason not to some of the hotels are like resorts with beaches and pools that are hugh and with so much to do like shows and rides, shopping and fun places to eat take them and have a great time.

  6. If you are talking about The Strip, I would recommend you leave the kids home.  There are things to do but when you want to go gamble, have a drink, or see an adult only show, they cannot join you.  I

f you want a family vacation, then fine.  But if you want a romantic getaway where you relax and have not cares, best to have them stay with a friend or family member.

    Things kids can do www.lasvegasnow.com

Adventure Dome Amusement Park (indoor) Circus Circus

    Shark Reef Mandalay Bay

Madame Tassauds Wax (touch) Museum Venetian plus

Gondolas rides and Canal Shop free entertainment

    Buffets

Mystere (Treasure Island) or Love (Mirage Beatles tribute) both family cirque shows

Away from The Strip there is a regular city with regular family activities including skating, parks, chruch, malls, movies, bowling, etc.

  7. sure definitely, nowadays Las Vegas has gotten a lot more family oriented.

  8. kids not allowed in casinos and bars obviously

folk handing out p**n cards for strip clubs etc on the strip all hour of day but some hotels are more child friendly and there is lots to do around vegas

    nearby lakes etc exhibitions

    grand canyon , horse-trekking

    depends on age of children

  9. You may be paying for their addiction,

later in life, when they have nothing left,

and move back in with you. <}:-})

  10. depends on their age, they could be to young to do anything and be very bored indeed x

  11. as long as you dont lose them or sell them gambling.

  12. ya there are lots of fun things for your kids to do like m'n'm world and circus circus lots of fun stuff

  13. like a vacation? not really. there's not much left for kids here.

  14. well it used to be a great place to takes kids to. but now its all about he nightlife and adult scene. theyve really gotten away from the whole children-can-have-fun-too theme

  15. Vegas is a great place to take kids. There are lots of fun things to do in Vegas. Here is a list. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/entertain...

  16. Yes you should. They might get a bit bored at times but it'll be an enjoyable experience overall. There's alot of sites to see on the vegas strip anyways. And depending on what hotel you stay in, they might have a game room where there's fooseball tables or air hockey.

  17. Yes.I took 3 kids there last year(ages 15,13 and10) and they loved it! We also went to Disneyland and Hawaii and their favourite place was Las Vegas

  18. If you don't want your kids exposed to gambling, racy clothes, cross-dressers on every corner, and other very "adult" scenes and activities, then don't take them there.

  19. yes

it is deffinately a more family orianted place then it was a couple years back, there are alot of family malls and most hotels have family activities plus vegas is just a fun place for the whole family=]

  20. Most people have strong views on this ones side or other butthis lady here sees both sides after travelling to Vegas many times with her husband then for one trip they took 6 teens. Its a great read and gives one of the few unbiased reports of taking kids to Vegas and well worth eth read.

  21. I'll answer this question with a question of my own:  Would you take your kids to a bar?  Seriously, no matter what hotel you stay in your kids will have to walk through the casino just to get to the rooms, and lets face it, the casino is a bar.  At the Mirage they even have dancers in the casino on Fri and Sat nights and while they're not completely topless, they may as well be.  My opinion is that Vegas is not for kids.  On the streets they will be bombarded with partial nudity and strong sexual content.  In the hotels, while it's more tasteful, it's still there.

  22. Las Vegas if filtered is an o.k. place to take kids like Circus Circus or Hard Rock Cafe(if older) but understand one thing this place is not built for kids it is an adult place with limited day care, some shows are o.k. but most are adult minded. Is Las Vegas ideal... no, is it tolerable ... yes.  You must have your Parent Radar on full blast as they even hand out stripper/show cards on the street.  You almost have to sacrifice one parent's fun to attend to the kids.  Must sees: Eifel Tower overlooking bellagio fountains,  Gondola rides, Hard Rock Roller Coaster, Circus Circus indoor amusement park, and your only a few hours from Hoover Dam/ Grand Canyon.  Hope this helps...

  23. Yes, I am raising my girls there, and thought it would be scary, but we go to movies, bowling, ice skating, etc.in the casinos, and when we are passing all the old people gambling, they ask, "why are these people wasting their money?"  Being exposed to this at a young age will probably prevent them from turning 21 and going crazy like someone from the midwest might.  They also see billboards with half naked women and say "those s***s!!"

BTW, gambling is a lot less important here than it used to be.  Fine restaurants, buffets, etc. are more important.  And racy clothes are everywhere anyway.  And kids watching MTV is scarier than vacationing here.

There are a lot of things for kids to do here.  There is the Adventuredome at Circus Circus, and great pools at Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand and Monte Carlo.  There are KidsQuest centers at the Station Casinos when you and your significant other need some adult time.  Have Fun, but I would suggest waiting a month if possible when it starts getting cooler outside.

And eenie meanie, my then 2 year old had a tantrum on the monorail, and tourists were very nice about it.  They said, hey were grandparents.  The only "tourists" who would have a problem are probably paris hilton types who suddenly find themselves NOT the center of attention,  woe is me!!

  24. As Las Vagas is 99%gambling it would seem prudent not to take your kids there, however at most of the larger casinos they do have game room facilities for kids, but keep a good eye on them,it has been known for kids to get into serious trouble, and remember it's 21 to drink and 21 to gamble

  25. I will guess that they are young and in need of supervision. If you are going to be out and leave the kids in the room the answer is no. If you are going to be with them there are several things you can do as a family.

Bowling and movies at the Orleans. The Dolphin habitat at Mandalay Bay. The Guinness museum. Shows like Mistere. A tour of Hoover dam. Picnic at lake Mead. Picnic at Sunset Park. There are many more.

  26. No.  Las Vegas is NOT for kids. I go every year for a trade show and every year I say the same thing...why?  There are huge digital signs down the strip showing off the show girls (Bally's), the taxi's have billboards of scantly dressed women all over, there are people on the street soliciting prostitutes with "brochures".   In the casinos, kids can only walk on the aisle portions of the carpet.  They are sure to get an eye full here.  At Caesars the Pussycat Dolls Lounge has  slots and tables set up near the Lounge and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want your young kids seeing the girls working at the tables.  Plus, believe me you won't have as much fun if you bring the kids because you will be constantly worrying about whether they should even be there. (at least I think you would considering you asked this question).  Don't get me wrong, I love Vegas, but it's just not for kids.  Not appropriate in my opinion.  We took my oldest daughter and her boyfriend to Vegas when she turned 21 and had a great time!  We will be doing it again when my other daughter turns 21 in March.

  27. If they're little kids, leave them home. Small children can get very overwhelmed by all the noise and commotion and everything going on in the hotels, and parents don't seem to understand why they then have one REALLY cranky kid. Someone I used to work with moved out here about five years ago, when her oldest was about 2 1/2 and inside freaked him out so much, ALL he wanted to do was walk up and down the Strip - in 110+ heat, and she was six months pregnant to boot. 'Tweens and teens don't do so well out here either. They're not allowed to loiter in the casinos (if they stop to tie their shoe, they're often getting told to move along right away), most of the finer restaurants don't appeal to them - unless they have a rather sophisticated palate - a good many of the shows aren't appropriate for them and the arcades and other kid-type attractions are boring to them because they're aimed at those younger than they are.

So, long story short - leave 'em home! Las Vegas is Disneyland for ADULTS. They tried to bring in more families and it failed, and most of the places in the city are aiming for the affluent hipsters. That was in the paper the other day. (Even the boomers aren't loving it here anymore.)

  28. I have just come home form Vegas, and I would not recommend it for children. There is nothing there for them to do! Picnics outside(Lake Mead) you are having a laugh!!! the temp at the moment is in the 100s and we seen some kids there with their Parents, and they look totally bored. There are lots of other places in the States that you can take them to, leave Vegas until they are older, and you can go without them, and they can go whenever they want too on their own! Also what is the point of going to Vegas with the kids when you wouldnt be  able to do all the things that vegas has to offer ie gambling and adult shows(tastefull ones!) unless you were leaving them in the hotel room, then that would be a shame for them as it is their holiday too.

  29. If you want them to sit in a play room all day then sure...There aren't many family oriented activities....the few they have are not the most fun. If Las Vegas is part of your trip and you plan to rent a car you could also visit the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.  In reality ask yourself these questions:

Can they take care of themselves?(in a hotel)

Do they know what to do if they get lost? (not many police officers on strip)

Are they prone to temper tantrums? (loud screaming tends to upset the other guests)

Do you want them exposed to half naked men and women (tourists)?

Do you think they should have to inhale cigarette and cigar smoke all day?

Do you need a stroller? (more of a pain for you)

I live and work here and would suggest that you don't. Only about 5% of the people who travel here every year bring kids and would you rather not have to worry about them. Las Vegas is not as family friendly as it was in the 90's and some hotels have strict policies about children particularly of a certain age. There is also a curfew for older children. Any more questions, email me.

  30. I am a former Vegas resident and a mother of 4.  Personally, I would leave my kids at home.  Yes, there are things they could do, but after a short time, it would probably be boring for them.  I'm guessing you have similar diversions at home.  LA and San Diego are great vacation locales for families. Vegas is fun, but the family atmosphere of Vegas is long gone!

  31. Depending on how old they are, then yes. If they aren't toddlers or anything, then go ahead. There is a zoo in Vegas, rides, aquarium, celebrity wax museum, arcades, circus acts, swimming pools, huge mall, a pirate show, a dancing water show, magic shows, and so many restaurants. I say go for it. Show your kids a good time.
