Do you think its right that i still like to hold hands? ?

I'm a boy and i just turned 13 a week ago and i still like to hold hands in-between my parents in public and this does not embarrass me i do this a lot, almost all the time when I'm out, it just feels right, and it doesn't when i don't hold hands (no insulting comments please) does anyone know anyone else who does this because i don't also does anyone think i should stop, i would like to carry on but i don't want people to find me strange

Hi, NOT A PROBLEM... If you like to hold your parents hands then go for it. linking arms is okay too. If you are not embarrassed by it and your folks arent, then dont let anyone else's opinion bother you.

I think its great that you want to, and still do it. I feel that you are a very secure person, or maybe you do this because you need that security from them. It doesn't  matter either way, as long as you are comfortable with it. Who cares what others say.

Yeah its an age where you start to gain a bit more mental independence but at the same time you still like to get a hug from mum etc.

Everyone experiances the big changes differently but i think you should try and stop as it does look kind of out of place.

my son is 11 and still will walk up and hold my hand when we are out..even at the mall

listen hun, there's nothing wrong w/u wanting to hold hands w/ur mom and dad, its not common but certainly not wrong per sey, but if u want to practice yourself to stop then it will be better in the terms of not being embarrassed when in public, you know what i mean.

I never did stop holding my parents hands out in public and still do, and I am much much older then you. If you feel comfortable doing it, then I see know problem with it. It isn't like your acting inappropriate.

I think it is wonderful that you have a good relationship with your family.
