Do you think its right to join a group that you don't even know what it's about?

If you can't tell from the cover page be leery but no big deal, when  you join  select  no email, then you can check the messages at the site.  If you don't like it then leave the group

Not so much a question of right or wrong as it is just a stupid thing to do.

I think it's okay as long as you would take time to know that group once you're already in. It's also depends on the owner of the group if they will accept your membership.

Chance is the spice of life.

This is a yes and no answer. Yes, because you never know if you are interested in what the group has to offer unless you go see for yourself. On the other hand, no, because someone has taken the time to admit you, greet and welcome you, or you could be an annoyance by not being knowledgeable on the group's subject.

You will either leave out of boredom, the group will ban you if you act in a fashion that is not to their liking, or you may become a serious member. This is your call.
