  1. That is kind of disgusting.

  2. Yes they should excuse themselves to the restroom where they can properly dispose of the soiled tissue paper and wash their hands.

  3. I don't like to hear that but sometimes you do have to blow your nose, although I go to the rest room to do it.

  4. Oh GAG!  It is disgusting and very rude- especially when  they open up the handkerchief and take a look.  What is worse is when they use tissue and "miss" getting it all in the tissue.

But- how does one deal with it without throwing up?  Ahh... the joys of getting along with our fellow man.

  5. I guess it is not your fault if you have stuffy nose (or a leaky one). However i think it's rude to just blow it without any inclination of showing any discreetion. Or you could advise the restaurant to print on the napkins, "Bogeys should be deposited discreetly."

  6. sometimes, once is unavoidable, but repetition should be taken somewhere else.

  7. I can't understand why ppl do this it's gross.

  8. It's Pretty Gross In Any Public Situation For Someone To Openly Blow Their Nose In Front Of You. I Feel Embarrassed If I'm Out Anywhere And Need To Blow My Nose, I Have To Find Somewhere I Can Do It Unseen.

In Your Situation I Would Have Got Up And Walked Out Without Paying!

  9. Poor old guy.  Over once or twice, time to go to the men's room.  At his age though, your best bet would've been to simply move to another table.  You are justified in not wanting to think about, hear and watch this person expelling mucous at the dinner table.

I've needed to blow at the table before it ran down my face, but I try to duck down out of view.  Depends on where I am and who I'm with.  But granted, it's gross! :-)  HONKKKK!

  10. Absolutely. Nothing disgusts me more than mucous!

  11. Eeewww. That was inappropriate. If he really, really needed to blow his nose, he can go into a restroom where you can throw the handkerchief out and wash his hands.

P.S. I love those Japanese grill restaurants! We have one where I live!

  12. Yes, that's gross
