I think with the yankees being 8 games back in the division and the red sox still being 4 games up on them in the wild card,i would hav 2 say that the yanks are out of the hunt for october.The lineup hasent produced enough run consitantly and the pitching hasent been very reliable all year.As hard as it is to to say,the yankees wont be a platoff team this year.

i think it's still a little early, but we can make some pretty safe predictions at this point...i think that the red sox are going to fall off and the yankees will sneak into the spot in the last couple weeks of the season, maybe even in the final days as the yanks play the sox in the last 4 games

i am not a yankees fan but the yankees have been in the situation many times where they look like they are doomed but surprise everyone and come back and make it

so at this point i would say that anything is possible
